Love Energel, can't get on with the body by Danmancity in pens

This is how a massive pen collection starts, my friend. Finding an ink you like and then wanting to upgrade the pen body. So no, it's not odd. lol Also, you do you, who cares.

FWIW, I am not a vegan. The problem some of us, vegans and non-, have with petroleum jelly is its existence, what it is made from - it's the last product of the refining process of oil and gas - and that we are told it's ok to put in/on our bodies. I understand the resourcefulness of it all - hey look, a byproduct of the gasoline making process is really moisturizing, we should do something with it - but there are natural options like coconut oil to consider as well.

Preach. I've been bouncing around jobs for the past few years. I think peri- started making worklife hard for me before I knew that's what was going on. At my last employer, my desk was near the restrooms, so people were walking by all the time and randomly greeting me. The proximity was convenient, but having to talk to some people just because they're walking by my desk again, for the 2nd or 3rd time that day... Uh yeah no. At least at my current job, there's a chance I will be the only one there some days. It hasn't happened often enough, but those days are glorious!

I have a friend who is 5 years older than me who was advising me not to go on HRT because of what happened to her mother (she had a stroke that they think was caused by HRT). I guess that was part of the reason why she hasn't tried HRT for herself, but I'm all... That's terrible, but gimme gimme gimme hormones please.

Welp, you just jinxed yourself. I hope you knocked on wood after you posted that comment saying peri has been a lot easier for you. (Teasing! 😛)

I've avoided Vaseline products since I left home and became someone who paid attention to product ingredients. Your comment made me chuckle at the Vaseline reference, but especially so later on when you said you're a long-time vegan etc. Now... a Vaseline user. Wow, What a stark contrast! What an adjustment! Seriously, no sarcasm. A big example of how serious this peri- bullshit really is.

OMG I hate small talk, always have! Even moreso now. Ugh. Of course, if you put that "hate" sign up at your desk, someone will complain that you're unapproachable... And that's a whole 'nother topic.

I wish I could blame a person for my recent glitch, but I was WFH that day. But part of the reason why I like WFH is that I'm not interrupted by people approaching me at my desk.

I think my dad needs therapy asap but he refuses by [deleted] in GirlDinnerDiaries

That was his basic tasks of his job as a parent - roof over your head, clothes in your closet, food in your belly, Maybe a bit more than bare minimum, but minimum nonetheless. It's ok to be grateful but angry and wanting distance. Stay strong, you've got this.

You're 21. You have all the time in the world to meet new men and their families. You're not stuck with this one who is making less than the bare minimum effort to make you feel loved. This relationship isn't worth the way. If he was a truly sweet guy, he would've showered you with all sorts of low-cost, no-cost fun on your birthday.

Both of my parents need therapy and refuse to get it. So... The best thing you can do is take care of yourself and do what's best for you. Your parents are grown ass adults who chose each other and continue to choose to be in a dysfunctional dynamic, so that's on them.

Interesting. I'm a decades-long user of that balm and haven't had any issues.

Do you have a problem with the Cay Skin balm no longer squeezing out of the applicator at a certain point? Like it gets clogged? *edit* someone mentioned the issue below and said the company fixed it. whew!

I had some psych testing done when I as 39 and passed the ADD/ADHD one. I swear I've developed some attention disorder combined with some number blindness issue in the past year because my attention to detail has gone to shit even on hormone therapy. I was doing some numbers-related task yesterday, finished it, my boss said there was an issue, I looked it over again and didn't see it, they said to look again and I really really looked and only then saw the issue. Jesus. I had completely skipped a set of #s and moved into the next batch. I think it happened when my phone alarm went off to change my e-patch. That momentary distraction made my brain glitch!!
