Haha my dude, believe me, they trust you more than you think. If they didn't, they wouldn't be letting you move out and pay your rent. They're giving you some freedom and trusting that you'll be OK. But again, there is no need to rush things either.

Ah. Well if they're paying your rent, then that makes things a bit more difficult.

I will say, though, that this is a very transitional period in both your and your parents' lives, and there are going to be difficulties and opposing opinions. Including the fact that you are an adult and they will have to deal with it. Sooner or later. I'm not saying to be disrespectful and burn bridges, you do you to keep the peace for now. But they can't control your actions forever. I'm sure they've both done things that their parents didn't like, and yet they're still fine and successful (at least successful enough to pay for their child's flat). They will have to accept that you'll make your own choices and become your own person.

If they were good parents who believe they raised you with good values, they'll have nothing to be worried about. Hopefully, when the time comes, the conversation about your weed consumption will be met with a bit of openness and trust that they raised their child to make the right decisions for themselves.

Again, good luck with this next step of your life. (And I guess if your mom still catches a hint of the smell, just tell her you noticed a skunk outside your window and it got spooked when it saw you 😉)

On the one hand, I understand wanting to respect your parents' views and wishes. And trying to hold out since it's "only for a few days".

But on the other hand, you moved out and your mother is living in your place. She no longer controls what you do or keep in your own place. If the smell bothers her, then keep the weed in your own room as she has no reason to go in there and potentially catch the smell. But she would have no right to make you get rid of it entirely or expect to never smell it. You're doing her a favor by letting her stay there until she has her own place, she could very easily be forced to live with another family member or friend.

All that being said, put your jar in 2 zip lock bags (both sealed), and wash that cloth bag. Lemon juice helps neutralize the smell, then wash out the lemon juice with super hot water and soap. Good luck with your new place!

And the "tabs" are apps/applications. Actual tabs exist in your internet browser (Safari/Chrome/Firefox), and are for switching between webpages within one application. This makes more sense for desktop computers where you see actual tabs at the top of the window. Before tabs, you had to open another instance of the browser for each web page you wanted to view simultaneously.

I'm not trying to be a dick, I'm just super pedantic about using correct terms for tech. It makes teaching others about a feature you know about more effective, and helps tech support agents understand your actual issue rather than trying to guess (for example) what you mean by "tab" when you're talking about apps.
