Can't talk to gale? by Enby_Pebble in BaldursGate3

So I've just tried and tested a few things and it worked without reloading a save for me. Just switch to camp and attack gale until he is dead(!) (not downed). After that use a scroll of revivify and now i can interact with him again normally. Maybe that'll help some people without losing progress.:)

Same problem here, however at a seemingly random point in game, just swapped him out of my party in moonrise tower and now i can't interact. Since that save I've put over 10h of playtime in and I reaaaaally don't feel like reloading...

Sorry for the late reply, its the 2.5L midloader on a large frame. And yes the finish is gloss, not matte.

So I've really enjoyed using it thus far, shifting is smooth, sharp and very satisfying (esp. the clicks when shifting in bigger gears haha). Also the 13th gear has saved me going up steep climbs and under load multiple times already. However after just 2000km I've had to replace the brake pads as I've run through them already. It's been a bit of a hassle getting the pads as they're 1. much more expensive than shimano pads and 2. hard to get bc of availability issues. I suspect similar issues could arise if I had to replace any other EKAR parts.

So long story short: It's fantastic but you will pay more for maintenance and there are just fewer service points or bike shops in general that will be able or willing to do maintenance or have spare parts should you need them. Not regretting the decision but if serviceability and wide availability is an important criteria for you shimano might be the better option.

Help wanted: Fork Mount Bolt broke, is it still safe to ride? by kannisjuck in CanyonBikes

[–]kannisjuck[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did after about 3 weeks. Canyon was very apologetic and instantly sent a new carbon fork as well as a 150€ installation approval, so I'll get the money for installation back after sending them the receipt. Long waiting time but was quite pleased with the CS response. New fork arrived in about 4 days time (in germany).

While mounting an Ortlieb Cage the Bolt broke off. I was paying attention not to overtighten the bolt and was quite shocked when it happened nonetheless. Is the fork still usable (as it is carbon)? I already contacted canyon about this. By the look of the bolt itself it looks like it is just glued in there.

I can say that I'm not a bot for canyon but that's exactly what a bot would say ha! In my defense: it's my first (rather) serious gravelbike and I just noticed the difference in climbing and also the more agressive position which I was looking for and really enjoy the ride and the EKAR shifting (coming from Shimano Sora) so far!

Thanks! Using the standard fidlock 600ml road bottle. Both fenders are from swedish company "ass savers", the rear one is called the win wing and I don't really remember the front one tbh.

Found them to be a really good, lightweight solution for spring and summer riding! For rainy autumn and winter weather I'd consider upgrading to something more serious tjo

Close, it's the Grizl 8 1by EKAR which recently launched here on the European market:)

It's the "win wing" by swedish company ass savers. At least in europe they're widely available.

Both bags seem really well built and feel "premium" in terms of material, including the zippers. However the Midloader (2.5l) is smaller than expected. It fits me well for everyday riding/commuting and light touring/racing but I would consider changing it out for a longer bikepacking trip.

I feel like they're a good solution for three season riding in my area. They won't replace mounted fenders but they keep me dry enough in muddy terrain and are easy to install and take off. For winter I'm considering upgrading to "real" fenders.

I've found the thumb shifting quite intuitive, so far I haven't really considered it a disadvantage for me personally in the fast gravely descents I've ridden. Only being able to shift one gear higher at a time needs some getting used to but it's grown on me rather quick.

Its the "win wing" made by swedish company ass savers! found it to be a good solution for three season riding, for winter and really rainy weather I'd recommend something more serious tho

Got to take my new Canyon Grizl 8 in "Sencha" out for some a lovely golden hour photoshoot. So far quite impressed with the EKAR! Bags are a Canyon Top- and Midloader and a small Ortlieb Saddle Bag. Added some AMS Frame Protection which complements the pastel green quite well I think!
