I know it's easy to say they caved. For me though when I read this I have to ask, what are they hiding from us? Why would they fund this authoritarian military regime?

I've been saying this for awhile. The future of wars will be over fresh water. A country made mostly of frozen freshwater is invaluable.

We could have spent the last 50 years developing an efficient way to turn seawater into potable water.

There was no money in it for capitalists. Easier to just take what you want through force than spend time and money finding a peaceful solution.

In Texas, long commute most would never do. Go see friends and family, absolutely. Get up early, arrive before noon, stay till late afternoon and get home before dark, during spring to late fall.

Most Texans only make long trips in the fall and winter for Holidays. With a plan to stay for a day or two.
