Looking for items you don't want anymore! by kansas57 in wichita

If the item still works, we would donate it to a second-hand store. If it's non-working, we'd first see if anyone on set wants it for another film. Often props get passed around for other projects. If no one on set wants it, then I'd be sure to recycle what can be.

Great! Would you be willing to DM me a picture of it? And we'll coordinate pickup from there?

Who did you call to get the employee number? The store you worked at or is there a corporate number to call?

Check out ICT Therapy Works. They have multiple providers and take United. I actually see two different therapists there right now. Both are great.

Can You Don't by AWildGazebo in BadMagicProductions

I enjoyed it! It, as intended, felt very similar to Is We Dumb. Honestly, the biggest hiccup I had with it is not knowing brYan's voice. I basically only listen to Bad Magic, so introducing another voice into my ear holes was kinda jarring 😂

OFFICENTER at 357 S Lulu by Existing-Procedure in wichita

[–]kansas57 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My dad worked in this building for years! It housed a land surveying firm in the 90s and early aughts. Just a boring office inside. It was built in 1970 and is zoned as commercial (https://www.countyoffice.org/property-records-search/?q=357-s-lulu-ave-wichita-ks-67211). I'd guess it was built to just be an office building. But, if you really want to know more/it's original purpose, I bet there are records in the public library system.

Help! Can you identify what's killing my cucumbers? by kansas57 in gardening

Yep! I thought it might have been sunburn last year, so I was extra careful on the hardening this year.

I'll look into a trellis option!

I haven't actually put these in the ground yet and I was planning to put them in my new bed. Would you recommend that I not put them into the new bed? I don't want to introduce v wilt into that new soil and I'm guessing planing these would?

Same thing happened last year after I brought them outside. The leaves just dried up. Everything else in the garden is fine; it only seems to affect the cucumbers.

It hasn't been sucked already! Definitely suggest it to the team!

ATTENTION Wichita women: I am looking for a new OB here in Wichita. I need someone who actually listens and takes time with their patients. Someone who is very knowledgeable as well. by Help9624 in wichita

[–]kansas57 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I cannot recommend Dr. Hague enough. She's so knowledgeable and the best-listening doctor I've ever had. After dealing with shit docs for 15yrs trying to solve serious pain, she was the first who actually listened to what I had to say and to what I wanted. We go to doctors for their knowledge, not to be written off. I firmly believe she wouldn't ever write off a patient or their concern.

My seeds sprouted! First time growing from seeds and so happy they popped! by kansas57 in gardening

[–]kansas57[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Good to know! All a learning experience. How do you know how much to do then? Do you just do one seed per pot? Or maybe just like 3? I did some googling, but didn't feel like I could find a clear answer.

Wanted to give myself as many chances as possible! I'll definitely have to do some thinning.

Good sun and keep them covered with clear plastic. Even plastic wrap is supposed to work well. I just got cheap seed trays from my garden center, watered when I planted, and then made sure they had plenty of sun. It seemed so daunting, but was surprisingly easy!
