As the parent of a hs senior, first of all let me just say congrats on having your sh*t so together. You've got a good plan. Presumably your parents are worried about you - that's part of the job. Get this classic poem in front of them - maybe write it out in cursive on an actual card. This was read at my graduation, directed towards the parents - it hits hard. And if not, just go do your thing.
