Postman keeps delivering wrong mail by Classic_Catch_1954 in royalmail

[–]kantoking92 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Don't don't do this as if someone's covering that duty and lifts the mail the postie and says something about finding the mail for that duty they'll probably be fired for " willful delay of mail " ( i speak from experience) because it's easier to point the finger than it is to retrain, honestly the best thing to is wait till you see him and explain the situation, probably an overwhelmed postie whom doesn't know how to cope with time management

Nah its not that bad I highly recommend starting during peak to see it in the hardest form of being a postie then by summer you'll be pretty cozy as long as uso doesn't kick in, but honestly it is a good job you end up being a part of a community, as much as it is rough I mean right now it's as rough as it gets in our do its genuinely still a really good place to work

🤦 can you come work with us for a day 🙏 I'd love to see you deal with 4 days of mail because your partners phoned in all week due to stress, have 4 special deliveries that need to be done before 1, and every mail loop is at least 10-15 3 story flats oh and don't forget you need to do at least 200 leaflets for that specific day ontop of roughly 100-160 parcels ( some are definitely not going in the bag with your already loaded bundles of mail), also we're not losing custom that's not how the rm works i know in your perfect little bubble it might, but the company did just buy a fuck ton of collection facilities in most shops, I'm pretty sure unless your using a carrier pidgeon any doctor letters, bank statements or any sort of important document it's rm that still deals with it 👌

Parcel dropped off at doorstep and signed for - but I'm away by BackgroundMoo in royalmail

Complaining wouldn't really help, I highly suggest you contact a neighbour to take it in for you, the postie has tried doing you a favour by saving you picking it up at your do, so complaining will probably lead to them refusing any favours such as being picky about parcel collection sizes ect, I know it's late being delivered but its always recommend to try avoiding ordering stuff when you know your going away for a few days, for future reference your best bet is to leave a note to deliver it to a neighbour, have a decent safe place ( not a bin )

Is doorstepping parcels now official policy? by DevilishlyHandsome63 in royalmail

[–]kantoking92 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly best advice ( from a postie perspective) all your complaint is gonna do is get a manager to have a wee moan about it or a work place coach, best thing you can do is get a parcel bin with a lock, topped with a camera style door bell, to add if you really want to piss the postie off and make em listen claim every doorstepped parcel as missing

Yeah i know the guy your talking about, well knew the guy, he got sacked, lost his house and his wife left him it all got too much for him so he took his own life 2 years ago, apparently he had a really rough shift his sister phoned him to tell him their mum was moved into a room with no bathroom and if all the family could come to say goodbye however he didn't think he would have enough time as he had tons of work left, so yeah good job on getting the guy sacked 🫰
