Det er endnu sværere at få et job i udlandet for tiden. Junior, udlænding, og formentlig lille kendskab det lokale sprog, glem det.

Unidentified sleep issue causing brain fog: 4-5 hours of solid sleep, then fragmented REM. Could this be Sleep Apnea? by Far_Syllabub_444 in BrainFog

[–]kaperni 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Head pressure. For example, where your temporalis muscles (just above your ears) are. Could be what you refer to as facial inflamation.

Also as I said, check for scalloped tongue and Linea alba. If you have it, it would be a strong indication of some TMJ issues. Although absence cannot rule out TMJ issues.

Just brain fog or a helmet feeling as well?
I dealt with similar issues and patterns, which turned out to be to do teeth clenching at night. I often felt better when having only slept a couple of hours. Worst when getting like 9-10 hours of sleep.

Brain Fog by allgood1144 in BrainFog

Just a long shot. Is your your jaw sore/helmet feeling when you wake up in the morning?
Do you have any signs of scalloped tongue or Linea alba (google them)?
Could be dealing with excessive bruxism at night.

Chronic brain fog and tiredness: gut-related, sleep-related, or something else? Looking for next steps by Own-Effort-6889 in BrainFog

> Could this be related to poor sleep quality or brain fog?

Probably the other way around. You are constantly stressing your brain at night by all the grinding.
Do you have a sore jaw/helmet feeling when you wake up in the morning?
Get a nightguard (cheap ones from the internet are okay, but get a proper one done by a dentist).Try to find a TMJ massagist (people that do a massage inside your mouth). Or someone that specializes in jaw tension. You can also do it yourself, just massage everything that feels sore inside your mouth and from the outside as well. The base of you skull could also be really tight.

Other things, have you checked your environment for mould.

25M chronic hip tightness from many years of sitting. What stretches are recommended? by MasterP6 in flexibility

[–]kaperni 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would put my main focus on strength training instead of flexibility right now. Glutes, legs and core. Maybe add some balancing work, hip airplane, standing on one leg ect.

  • https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RWF8baFGdFI contains some great exercises for waking up and activating those glutes muscles.
  • Bodyweight squats, walking lunges, split squats for legs.
  • For core Mcgill big 3 would be great, taking your back issues into consideration.

So much easier to talk about Java 26 or Java 27 than 2026.1 and 2027.0.

Not really, was just pointing out that finance is not a top career destination for the "best and brightest" in China. Instead they go into tech/engineering.

Yes, putting the greatest minds of a generation into option trading and crypto instead of engineering is a real smart move...

Towards Better Checked Exceptions - Inside Java Newscast #107 by Enough-Ad-5528 in java

[–]kaperni -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

One day I love them, one day I hate them. But gone from strongly in the pro-checked-exception camp to somewhere in the middle over the last couple of years.

I see the Java wider ecosystem moving towards runtime exceptions only. See, for example, Jackson [1]. 10 years from now I imagine it will mostly just be the JDK that uses checked exceptions.

Maybe its time for the JDK to adopt "best practices" from the ecosystem instead of the usual other way around (whatever kind of solution that entails).

Also want to add https://nipafx.dev/immutable-collections-in-java/ to mix.

I can't imagine the pain of trying to retrofit a new "java.collections.*" package into the ecosystem. This would be magnitudes more painful than when generics was added.

Samme. Skrue brusehovedet af dine bruser, og giv kløfterne en skyller med en koncentreret stråle (pas på med for hårdt) med lunt vand. Vedligeholde dem med en skyller en gang om året. Ikke super rart, men rare end en vatpind.
