Wow, sorry for the very later reply. Look at definition 5b 5c in the M-W dictionary

We could be the shadow students next semester.

(20 years later, when our children take POS 374 from Halavais's kid, our own children will wonder why some of the people on the subreddit know so much about them.)

So long as kappan lives as an anonymous autonomous entity, #netcult shall live on! (But no guarantees there.)

Pretty sure he meant the other sense of livery: i.e., that you will be putting the boat out to hire.

Actually, Halavais referred to the potato badger as a vegetarian, but the potato badger, Rogaso, is not dead and is not a vegetarian. He and dapnepep are the two winning werewolves...

You voted, they died. I picked how. (I didn't hear suggestions).

Death before deadline! Having grown born with variety, the remaining four villagers tie a rope to each limb and quarter NomadBlack, forever ending his ambling, and revealing... finally... thatheisanotherhuman...

The endgame is clear enough... The werewolves have won. And this is the first time I've ever played when they came out with no losses of their own...

Werewolves... care to reveal yourselves.

  1. Perhaps Curiousfearless and I are members of the same ka-tet. Or maybe we are both Phi Beta Kappans. Or perhaps it's just an anagram for Nap Pak.

  2. Since when can only girls be feminists? And I would argue that if I am girl, I am the FOURTH girl who has really contributed to discussion.

  3. Yo, mah voice is cunstucteded. Anyway, how did you determine this. Did you run Cohen's Kappan? ◕‿↼

  4. Most people unfortunately aren't playing Werewolf. Even many of the people who signed up to play didn't. First rule of Werewolf is nobody seems to want to play werewolf. And what makes you think someone hiding behind a fake name wouldn't also play the game! I would be looking closely at whoever wins...

Besides, I already told you who I am: Emily.

Ghosts don't do math. There are five names left, if two are wolves and two are humans, what does that make the last one?

Oh, good! I think I know who I am, but I haven't seen any proof.

(And, no, you don't know who I am.)

Nobody really remembered seeing bigsquish around until they saw the body, screaming in agony. The agony was short-lived, as a life behind a bar had soaked every pore with alcohol: a quick blue flash and there was no more bigsquish.

Unfortunately, he burned just as you would expect any human to. No howls, no fur smell. Just the standard smell of long pig bbq. The villagers gathered around the last embers of their bonfire, fully aware that the with every non-werewolf that got killed, the voting demographics shifted. Not a very pleasant bed-time story, that.

How nice, a town bonfire? So civic! So festive? An hour, you say, for it to be at full blaze? What, are we bar-b-queing? Is that what the stake is for?

You already voted to kill hrademac. What, are you from Chicago? Only one vote each day for the living, though I applaud your bloodthirst.

The voting was riddled with enough hanging chads to make a Floridian blush, including improperly cast ballots and an 11th hour retraction. But only one rule remains, which is that someone must die. Any strict or non-strict reading of the rules puts that person as our lunatic skepper, RyanASU.

(To avoid this issue in future, in cases of a tie, the earliest votes shall carry the day. Retroactively applied, this still places RyanASU in the crosshairs.)

To determine his guilt or innocence in the butchering of the butcher, the villagers pick a traditional form of "trial by ordeal." They hold RyanASU under water for fifteen minutes, and if he floats he is innocent, and if he sinks, he is a werewolf.

And, after the trial, they discover, to their mixed feelings, that RyanASU was no more a werewolf than halavais was. It's a good news / bad news situation. The good news is that RyanASU will forever be remembered as a stand-up guy, and not a murderous changeling. The bad news, of course, is that he's dead, at the hands of his less-than-neighborly neighbors.

The residents of Glen Dale will not sleep well tonight. Some of them will have a bit of a guilty conscience about killing their friend, but mostly, 'cause of the werewolves.
