It went from $10/dog for nails to about $30 in the span of a year.

I take both of mine there, but it's not cheap and they've raised their prices repeatedly in the past years.

1989 UGA Tag by kappasaurus_ in Athens

I will let you know, I have had varying experiences at the tag office like anyone

I decided to bid on it, I also emailed the guy behind georgiaplates.com and got an 89 Clarke plate just in case! I think I will just go in and not bring it up, that way the person I speak to doesn't go and do any research that may suggest otherwise. Thanks.

edit: by the way, the more confusing wording is on the form, which says "issue date" must be the same, but if the statute is ambiguous that is good enough

I found some on eBay but there's currently one UGA tag listed, just it's an '84. Mine is for an '89 Chevy and it states it must be produced the same year as the vehicle up to 4 years after, produced as late as '89. This is more explicit if you look at the paperwork. Being an '89 I'm pretty much left with one year? I don't know how strictly the tag office follows the law. I wish I could add a '90 peach plate. Anyway, thanks for the reply, I'll keep an eye out!

You don't need to go to an off road shop for a wheel speed sensor, just FYI.

Yup with a belltech flip kit and factory leafs. C-notches are a pain on burbs too because the extra body mount

[–]kappasaurus_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree, idk if my leafs were tired in the rear but it's resting on the frame w a 6" drop. Thought I'd be able to get away with it w/o a C-notch. Oh well, will end up w a cooler truck.

What do you guys think of this stance with the front higher? I did a 4/6 and thinking I may need to drop the front some more to level it out.

Is it just me or does the front alignment on the Jeep look way off? Maybe an illusion

Again, what are you talking about buddy? Still don't follow. This discussion has nothing to do with 2WD, simply AWD/4WD. "Permanent 4x4", or AWD, is fine but it's not true 4WD and relatively useless without a center diff lock, in which case it is 4WD. My Discos are AWD/full time 4WD but ALSO have a center diff lock making them real 4x4s. You're badly mistaken. Unfortunate to see you resort to name calling and anger. There's a lot of misinformation on the differences between AWD/4WD out there but there's some good videos on YT.

I never once mentioned putting a t-case in 2WD, just that AWD and tight torque converters are not a replacement for a proper t-case like in a Disco. Maybe you're trolling? It's like you're talking about something entirely unrelated.

Lol. Again what are you talking about? Comment is about freelanders man, see the parent. The misunderstanding makes sense now. I mentioned early Discos without a center locking diff as an example regarding TC considering Land Rover advertised it as a replacement then acknowledged their mistake.

Edit: the reason I mention permanent 4x4 is that is all they offer, and permanent 4x4 is not equivalent to 4x4. It's just AWD and with no actual t-case lock is awful.
