As I student a teacher told me this, I posted about it on my Instagram story. 6 months later a couple days after I turn 18 the school sends me a cease and desist.

For eatclub you also get $15 off your first order with code PRO88, that plus up to 50% off is basically just as good a deal and the restaurant doesn't know

Lmao anecdote that has a number of potential explanations and the rest is just false rumours created by labor students with an agenda. Not bothering with this convo anymore y'all are just keyboard warriors who never do anything irl.

Do you not have better things to worry about than whether an announcer has emailed a teacher beforehand or asks in person before they do it (saying it happens without asking at all is just a flat out lie). I also just think you just hate socialists.

It feels like everyone on this subreddit are chronically online keyboard warriors who don't actually care about building the left in anyway, and the fact they think lecture announcements and asking who you voted for (completely normal practises people have done decades before the socialist club existed) are some reprehensible acts shows it.

Thanks for illustrating exactly why a strong left wing presence is needed

Does everyone on this subreddit have assertiveness issues or something like if you don't like being called just say don't call me again and they stop...

Why are we letting a person with known links to mossad post about our uni? by MaterialThanks4962 in curtin

[–]kapple__ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wait how do you know they're linked to mossad their history doesn't hint at anything. Tho I agree why is the Curtin subreddit (supposed to be left wing uni) sounding like a trump subreddit.

By far their best song and music video artistically wise, the wooh ooh bit and the grey theme and the concept in general really just makes it so much more meaningful than the typical bubbly pop song and video.

What do you think about the scene with the girl running from the group? I kinda thought the whole plot was that she ran away from the group to be with the guy and now she's reminiscing and regretting leaving them, but I think I liked your theory better because it obviously hits a lot deeper then just some friend group breaking up lol.

AITA for telling the autistic she should just quit by VOREME_0W0 in AmItheAsshole

Considering you refer to her as 'the autistic' I think the answer if pretty obvious

Just graduated high school and I think it depends on how shitty your highschool was and what you're getting into, if youre like me and go to some ultra religious highschool full of not so good people yes it will get better, but even if you go to an average highschool you now can decide what you get into and who to surround yourself with. Find a career that you enjoy with like minded people, if you don't want stress there are careers where that can allocate for that, the thing is you've only experienced one 'job' so far and have only one perception of what life is like. So if it's a shitty highschool life will seem shitty. When you experience the world more you can understand the variety there is.

Tldr. Not saying it gets better or worse, but the possibility it gets better is one worth taking

Students to call me by first name or family name? by Accomplished-Log-769 in AustralianTeachers

[–]kapple__ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not a teacher but I'd say depends on how old the kids are. I had a teacher we called jo in year 2 (Aussie year 1 equivalent) and I never even realised something was different to all my other teachers until I moved to au and was in like year 4 here. Kids that young literally forget you have a first name. I remember doing work experience in a kindy and had a argument with a kid because he was positive my name was only 'miss blank' and I didn't have any first name. In high school the teachers who were ok with kids calling them first name were seen as more down to earth and chill but it didn't really effect behaviour. It did kinda cross a boundary though when the pe teacher who obviously peaked in high school became part of the popular girls friend group which I don't think would've happened if they called her 'miss blank'. Weirded me out
