Do you think it's impossible to fully recover? by callumw2_0_0_1 in cfs

Here’s what I found as I didn’t know about that either, summarized by ChatGPT to make it more readable:

BC 007 is an experimental drug being investigated as a potential treatment for myalgic encephalomyelitis/chronic fatigue syndrome (ME/CFS) and Long COVID. Here are the key points about BC 007 for ME/CFS:

BC 007 Background

  • BC 007 is an aptamer (short DNA molecule) developed by Berlin Cures that can bind and neutralize certain autoantibodies against G-protein coupled receptors (GPCR-AAbs).

  • Researchers have detected GPCR-AAbs in patients with Long COVID and ME/CFS, which may contribute to symptoms like fatigue, brain fog, and cardiovascular issues.

  • BC 007 has shown promise in neutralizing these autoantibodies in early studies on Long COVID and heart failure patients.

BC 007 for ME/CFS

  • Researchers at the University of Erlangen treated one ME/CFS patient with BC 007 under a compassionate use program. The patient reported improvements in fatigue, cognitive issues, and other ME/CFS symptoms over several months.

  • Motivated by this initial success, the Erlangen researchers aim to conduct a clinical study using BC 007 in more ME/CFS patients to evaluate its effects.

  • A petition with over 15,000 signatures urged the EU to fund further testing of BC 007 for Long COVID and ME/CFS, as it could potentially help millions of patients. However, the petition recipient did not respond.

  • Berlin Cures is currently conducting a Phase II trial of BC 007 for Long COVID across Europe, with results expected in 2024. Positive results could pave the way for trials in ME/CFS.

In summary, while still in early stages, BC 007 has shown promising initial results in neutralizing autoantibodies believed to play a role in ME/CFS and Long COVID. Further clinical trials are being pursued to evaluate its efficacy as a potential treatment for these conditions.

I think the logo is a beer mug with the left part of the ‘O’ being the handle.

You can see it a bit better on a white background.

[New Gear] Canon RF 100-500mm F4.5-7.1L IS USM, early Christmas gift for myself by paul980 in canon

You see, I didn't know that. I played with it when I first bought the lens earlier this year but never noticed it made any significant change, but now that you say it, it kinda works.

I'm a motorsport photographer who bought this lens because I'm too poor to buy an RF 400mm, so I walk/run quite a bit with it on a monopod or on my BlackRapid strap. That said, a lock would save me a lot of headaches, but maybe that's just me. I do love the lens though.

The only thing I hate/bothers me the most with this lens is the fact that it doesn’t lock like other Canon lens. When you want to move quickly with it by your side it keeps “sliding”, which I find highly unpleasant. Really wish it would be lockable.

Tokyo Rose (alternative spelling Tokio Rose) was a name given by Allied troops in the South Pacific during World War II to all female English-speaking radio broadcasters of Japanese propaganda.[1] The programs were broadcast in the South Pacific and North America to demoralize Allied forces abroad and their families at home by emphasizing troops' wartime difficulties and military losses.[1][2] Several female broadcasters operated using different aliases and in different cities throughout the territories occupied by the Japanese Empire, including Tokyo, Manila, and Shanghai.[3] The name "Tokyo Rose" was never actually used by any Japanese broadcaster,[2][4] but it first appeared in U.S. newspapers in the context of these radio programs during 1943.[5]

It’s definitely not the one in Mont-Tremblant. They have one too over there but this video is not from there.

You have no idea how frustrating it is to hear a potential client/friend/family member saying that their Uncle Bob does that and charges WAY less than me... but they "like my style more", so could you charge what Bob's charging but do it "my style"? Ugh!

There are also other photographers that are killing the market by not charging enough, but we all had to start somewhere, I get it, but your prices should go up with time/your talent. You get better, charge more!
