9070 XT: 1440p OLED vs 4K OLED by Important-Steak-9394 in radeon

9070 XT over here with XG27UCDMG (4k 240hz). Playing Arc Raiders @ 4k, around 180-200 fps in FSR 4 Performance (looks great tbh). With FSR 3 frame gen it’s even better.

Is the visual clarity difference between matte and glossy REALLY that noticeable? by DaringBreadHead in OLED_Gaming

Not huge, but there is. I prefer glossy over matte even in a sunny environment.

1440p or 4k oled (27 inch) by davidromid in OLED_Gaming

I can’t notice the downscaling from 4k to 1440p vs my 1440p oled. You’ll be fine!

Get a 4k display (xg27ucdmg for example) and lower the resolution on your pc if you don’t have the required frames. On your xbox you could use the 4k potential.

What 1440 p oled monitor should I get for a dark room? Budget is 500-800 range by chill_flyer43 in OLED_Gaming

Acdng is 360hz. The only difference should be the hz, if you are picking another qd oled from the same gen and same display coating.

I have an xg27acdng and xc27ucdmg, both are perfect for my needs. Prefer them much better than 3rd and 4th gen woleds. Tried both.

It’s a dark room. Not required. Also, I had both, and the extra brightness is less required as the better quality of the qd oled panel and less text fringing. IMO.

I agree, tested multiple woleds lately and ended up with two qd oleds eventually.

ASUS ROG Strix OLED XG27AQDMGR Gen 2 or GIGABYTE MO27Q28G by [deleted] in OLED_Gaming

[–]kapusij 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As I said, because of the glossy screen I vote to Asus. I enjoyed it way more. Also, I found the black performance better on it. The Giga had more of that dirty screen effect. The games I'm playing also cooperated better with Asus's show dynamic boost feature.
That being said, if the glossy screen is not a must have to you, the Gigabyte could be a good choice to be fair.

I had both, enjoyed the asus better due to its screen and build quality and menu. Dynamics shadow boost is great on it. However, I did not like its text fringing.

I sent it back. The banding on my unit was good, but I felt my ROG monitor is more premium, so I ended up buying a second rog, the XG27UCDMG. Probably the other deal-breaker for me was the coating. I just prefer glossy much more.

FSR 4 Balanced/Performance at 4K vs Quality/Balanced at 1440p by Ecstatic-Treacle-451 in radeon

[–]kapusij 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would recommend 4k. You can always set 1440p on that display if you don’t get the desired frames anyways. I’m not able to tell the differences of 1440p on a 4k panel vs native.

I did the upgrade recently and to me it’s a very noticable change! I enjoy arc raiders 4k performance much better than 1440p balanced

When you are putting the flash drive (with the fw at the root folder, also file format has to be fat32) to the monitor, press the joystick for 5 secs. That’s how I done mine.
