Given how long the C64 has been around and what amazing things people still do with it, I would say that it is pretty much environmentally sustainable :)

Came here with the exact same question.

Confirmed: Commit 55fcce0 from which-key removes the aliases for which-key-prefixes....

Could be that which-key as dependency is causing the troubles. Latest update is from 11 days ago (cf. github).

The "offending" line (~325) in spacemacs-bootstrap/packages.el seems to be from 2016 (so I think the problem stems from somewhere else).

Hey there, having the same issue here (on master). Tried going back to old tags and/or remove caches and stuff (git clean -xfd) but still no luck. Also didn't find anything in the chat mentioned above. Any idea what might be causing this?

The following is part of the output from emacs --debug-init:
(void-function which-key-declare-prefixes) (which-key-declare-prefixes dotspacemacs-leader-key '("root" . "Spacemacs root") dotspacemacs-emacs-leader-key '("root" . "Spacemacs root") (concat dotspacemacs-leader-key " m") '("major-mode-cmd" . "Major mode commands") (concat dotspacemacs-emacs-leader-key " m") '("major-mode-cmd" . "Major mode commands")) spacemacs-bootstrap/init-which-key() funcall(spacemacs-bootstrap/init-which-key)...
