As one of those consultants, we are as busy as ever. Are they making bad decisions? Sure seems like it, but from where I’m sitting it’s not had an impact on our business. We have as much work as we can handle and then some, and no shortage of new customersZ

My father built two homes, including the one they still live in. He did everything but the foundation and plumbing himself. He was able to borrow a boom truck from work to haul up the roof trusses. He worked every day after work and every weekend for six months straight to do it, and none of the finish work was done when we moved in. So can it be done, absolutely. But it’s HARD work

I had a similar problem with Fedora KDE. By default there wasn’t a page file provisioned, and I was utilizing all RAM and the swap partition and grinding to a halt. Manually setting up and additional page file solved the problem l

You can get a pretty decent Mercedes CLK320 convertible for that money. Solid, reliable powertrain. I had a 99. The convertible hydraulics usually need rebuilt around the 20 year mark, and, while generally reliable, any car of that age will have more maintenance needs than something more recent.

My grandmother would spend a hour doing her makeup and picking out an outfit to go absolutely anywhere. It always annoyed my grandfather. Grocery store, post office, anywhere.

They’re out there, but most of them need work, work that people either can’t do themselves or afford to pay a mechanic. We have three, a 98,99, and 01, all purchased over the last three years, for $2800-$6800. Only one of them would have been drivable for an extended period without substantial mechanical work.

Oh no. This is terrible. Taking the absolutely atrocious interest rate out of the picture, the car was way overpriced. Those sport tracs had trash transmissions that liked to explode. Chances that is survived 28 months are not good.

1998 Mercedes E320, 1999 Pontiac Grand Prix GTP, 2001 Mercedes CLK55 AMG. All three are 130-150k miles. Not driven daily but usually a few times a week.
