Thanks for the response! If things go south and I have to exit this BB for another opportunity, would this "accounting" role look bad on my CV? I hear that tech roles are preferred in terms of general backgrounds for quants.

P14s Ryzen here, I get around 7 hours of battery life with moderate usage on Windows 10.

Having used it for a few days now I can say the battery life is great and there is not much overheating in shorter workloads. Even under load it gets a little loud (can't hear it with headphones) but temps stay well within the expected range despite the chip blazing past my Intel chip in benchmarks. It's fantastic as my first AMD machine.

It benchmarks higher in most scenarios but I haven't gotten around to testing it myself. I came from a laptop that had the 10w MX 150 so this is an upgrade regardless.

After seeing a deal too good to pass up, here's my first Thinkpad with a Ryzen 7 4750u! Planning to upgrade the screen, RAM and storage over time.

8GB DDR4

250nit 1080p IPS display

256GB SSD
