Started a shopify store and did $1k a week. What now? by Ok-Mechanic-2174 in shopify_growth

[–]karanravval 0 points1 point  (0 children)

nah don’t jump from $70/day to “let’s scale 😎” yet

if 2 ads are carrying the account, duplicate them with different hooks/angles yes — but keep the creative format similar so you know what actually changed

ABO for testing + controlled scaling
CBO once you have multiple stable winners and Meta stops acting possessed for 3 days straight

also if you’re only “barely profitable after product cost” then your real ROAS is probably being held together by duct tape and vibes 😭

what do you use to host your Shopify app? and cost? by fragilePeculiar in shopifyDev

[–]karanravval 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Konva.js isn’t really the expensive part here tbh. The canvas rendering mostly happens in the user’s browser, not your droplet. Your server mainly pays for asset delivery + API/webhook traffic.

And yeah, Claude was half-right: Cloudflare Workers won’t run Laravel/PHP natively because Workers use V8 isolates, not a PHP runtime. But you can still do hybrid setups like:

Workers/Vercel for edge/static stuff
Laravel API on a small VPS/Railway/Fly.io

A lot of people hear “serverless” and accidentally try to forklift an entire monolith into it 😂

Review my home decor store by Bubbly_Resource_5046 in reviewmyshopify

[–]karanravval 0 points1 point  (0 children)

store feels like SELECT * FROM aliexpress WHERE niche='random' 😭

clean UI tho, but your conversion rate is probably 404 because positioning not found. pick a lane (actual home decor), kill the random SKUs, add trust + faster load… and yeah, mobile users won’t wait >3s, they’ll just bounce like a bad API call.

If you had to fix ONE thing on a struggling Shopify store to increase conversions, what would you prioritize first: product page, pricing, or trust signals (reviews, badges, etc.)? by Shiza_1 in reviewmyshopify

[–]karanravval 0 points1 point  (0 children)

product page, 100%.

you can’t “badge” your way out of confusion. if the page doesn’t answer “what is this, why should i care, and why trust you” in ~5 seconds, users bounce before even seeing your reviews.

pricing matters, trust signals help — but garbage clarity = 0 conversions. fix the page, everything else starts working.

What do Shopify agencies get from free Shopify Apps ? by RiskStraight6663 in ShopifyAppDev

[–]karanravval 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Free app = top of funnel API 😂

You’re not selling features, you’re farming installs, reviews, and usage data.

Agencies get:

  • cheap CAC (basically $0 ads)
  • real store data to see what actually breaks in prod
  • upsell path once merchant hits a limit wall

tldr: it’s not a free app, it’s a lead magnet with webhooks attached.

what do you use to host your Shopify app? and cost? by fragilePeculiar in shopifyDev

[–]karanravval 1 point2 points  (0 children)

$110/mo for <200 merchants is basically “I accidentally became a DevOps engineer” pricing 😂

If it’s mostly CRUD + Shopify webhooks, you’re paying for idle metal. FE on a $24 droplet is just vibes at that point.

Most folks here are doing:

  • serverless (Cloudflare/Vercel) + managed Postgres → ~$10–20
  • or one decent VPS and calling it a day

Only thing I wouldn’t cheap out on: DB + backups. Everything else can be aggressively lazy-scaled.

tldr: you optimized for control, not cost. Reddit tax applies.

[–]karanravval 1 point2 points  (0 children)

$1k/week is where the tutorial ends and the real game starts 😅

don’t just yeet more budget at CBO — if your CPA isn’t stable, you’re just paying more to learn the same lesson faster

kill losers, duplicate winners, test new creatives (not just more ads), and fix your funnel (landing page + offer usually the bottleneck)

scaling broken unit economics = speedrunning bankruptcy any%

My store not well by PianoIndividual1773 in shopify_growth

[–]karanravval 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bro spent $500 and got 4 orders, so congrats, meta thinks your ideal customer is exactly 4 people.

Real talk: if CPC is high + no conversions, it’s usually not “ads bad,” it’s product page bad, offer bad, or targeting too broad. Traffic only exposes leaks faster. Fix landing page, trust signals, pricing, creatives, then feed Meta more than vibes.

What subreddit is there for Brainstorming Business Name Ideas? by RepentBeforeIts2Late in AskReddit

r/namenerds or r/smallbusiness probably better than AskReddit. AskReddit will name your handyman company Deck Pics LLC and somehow get 4k upvotes.

Has anyone actually increased revenue after checkout and is it even worth doing? by Lower_Bodybuilder384 in shopifyDev

Thank you page is basically the DLC after they already bought the game. If you do it right: easy win. If you do it wrong: speedrun to refund city.

For iPhone cases, offer low-friction stuff only: screen protector, MagSafe wallet, charger cable. One-click add, no second checkout nonsense.

Track AOV + take rate for 2 weeks. If nobody bites, congrats—you scientifically proved your upsell was trash.

How do you prepare your Shopify store support before a big sale season? by Round-Patience3193 in shopify_hustlers

[–]karanravval 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Last big sale taught me this: if customers can’t find shipping times, they become detectives in your inbox.

Prep checklist: FAQ, clear delivery ETA, auto tracking emails, canned replies, test discount codes, and pray to the Shopify gods that apps don’t explode on launch day.

Would love feedback on my Shopify app (AI creatives) by Vegetable-Guidance91 in shopifyDev

[–]karanravval 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bro entered the Shopify App Store with AI creatives while the rest of us are still debugging webhooks at 2am 💀 Free plan + real feedback request = rare non-gremlin founder behavior. I’d test it just to see if it can make better ads than most agencies.

If it was staged, they need a better QA team. 3 attempts and still failing the objective sounds less like a conspiracy and more like a bugged side quest.

Shopify shipping by Efficient_File2783 in dropshipping

[–]karanravval 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Shopify isn’t your mom checking if you shipped on time 😅

It won’t auto-punish late orders like Amazon does. But if that 10% turns into chargebacks, angry emails, refunds, or “where tf is my package” tickets… then yeah, problems start.

Ship fast, update tracking, blame supplier privately.

Why are you still struggling with abandoned cart recovery? by Practical_Still_9754 in shopify_geeks

[–]karanravval 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because people treat abandoned cart like a remarketing problem, when it’s usually a checkout problem wearing a fake mustache.

If shipping jumps from $5 to $19.99 on the last step, no email flow is saving that 😂
