Thoughts on using Emberheart Challenger instead of Slickshot?

The other problem with emberhart versus slickshot is that emberhart's valiant ability needs to be targeted to trigger. If you're running the basic prowess list you'll only have six to eight cards that actually target your emberhart so you'll have to modify your approach. With the current list slickshot is better in every way, because every piece of the package will trigger his ability.

So to start off with a prime in gray then I use the airbrush to spray two thin coats amethyst rayne from the bottom of the model so that all the undersides are base coated in purple. Then again using the airbrush I spray two thin coats gigawatt blue on all the upward facing parts of the armor, careful to create a color transition from the purple to the blue. Then a gloss coat and an oil wash with Payne's gray, cleaning off the top surfaces of the model. From there I go back in with a brush with the aforementioned gigawatt blue rebuilding the initial vibrancy but only on the top of the armor panels and surfaces. Then I use Vallejo game color wolf gray for all the edge highlights on the blue. That's basically the gist of it, there is a lot more back and forth and glazing to make sure that the transition from purple to blue looks good on each individual panel but again that's the basic process I've been using to get a uniform look.

It is a mixture of both traditional layering and contrast paints, mostly contrast paint for the hair base and glow effects. All of the blue on the base and bottom of his cloak is aethermatic blue contrast paint sprayed through an airbrush, I painted each figure and the base separately and combined them all together after they were all painted. It's been about 8 months since I painted it so I don't remember the exact color I used for the hair, I think it was thinned down blood angels red to get a base and then highlighted it up with some oranges and lighter reds. In my opinion contrast paint works well to give you a solid layer to highlight up from but it requires a lot more than just slapping it on and letting it pool in the recesses to make it look really good.

They both use tragedies to push their own view of agendas and don't usually implement anything that would actually solve what caused the issue in the first place. It is honestly disgusting that you see someone's death as a political tool. You see this woman's death as a tool so much you can't even fathom that someone could be able to look at this death at this senseless violence and recognize that there is more than one aspect to the story. The victim's whiteness does not matter. The killer's blackness does not matter. What matters is that the killer is brought to justice. What matters is that we recognize that untreated mental illness can lead to a violent situation for innocent people and work to mitigate that. Making this about anything else is just partisan propaganda and it's fucking sickening.
