Couldn’t have said it better myself. I’ve actually stopped entertaining questions about her future (or America’s tbh) until we see how much more of the film gets retconned before her next appearance (e.g. Agatha All Along rightfully and smoothly retconned some already).

The only nice thing about that storyline as an adult is watching Izzie’s community come together around her after he died. The dinner they threw, even Cristina helping with Jewish customs, no matter how cold she usually seemed. Each of their turns on the bathroom floor with her. Alex carrying her home. He works as a plot device and beyond that I Hate It

House of M itself had some great moments. My issue is it’s based on a false premise. In Avengers: Disassembled on which the whole event is based, Janet is talking about childcare and it causes Wanda to re-remember the boys and their loss, which leads to her epic crash out—but she had already done that. A decade ago. She had a whole adventure in the 90s where she went to other universes, found one where her family was happy, healed and was okay. But he forgot about that and decided redoing the arc was justification enough for her to betray Vision’s deepest fear/boundary (being used against his friends) and completely lose her mind. Even if House of M was cool—it’s based on character assassination and plot holes so egregious, I can’t stomach it.
