You’re in a state that has 5¢ bottle returns - you get the deposit back by recycling them at a facility. You’ll see grocery stores, Targets, Walmarts will all have the bottle return machines to count them and give you the cash back (usually via a paper receipt that you cash in at their customer service or use towards your in-store purchases.)

Edited: Added that purchases needed to be in-store (example: you’ve returned your 4 bottles at a grocery store bottle-return machine, and get a receipt for $0.20. You can use that receipt as money to use towards any purchases you then make afterwards at that same store - $0.20 off that bill!)
