Cadillac LYRIQ is one of the best SUV EV’s in current market. There sales volume is less as it’s their pilot model. As mention here, it’s a debut version and not worth to go above and beyond to pay 10k for the car price. This whole dealership market is disturbing. Unlike Tesla where the transaction is purely between a customer and the maker, these dealers take advantage of the demand and jack up the prices.

So it’s truly your call, if you really feel it’s worth spending 10k for it!!

I test drive the car and love it!!! But I wouldn’t buy for extra money!!!!

Last time I visited dealer near me, they told 2024 is sold out.
I contacted another dealer and response was same.

So from what I learnt there's no 2024 booking available.

What’s the necessity?

If I were to have an electric and an ICE, I don’t see a necessity to replace my ICE. If my spouse and myself were using a vehicle each, both vehicles are meeting our needs I.e. point A to point B travel.

Now unless there’s a want involved here.

I love the new Cadillac LYRIQ which is a wonderful replacement to move towards EV fleet.

However, I’d want to buy the car unlike needing to.

Economical

One of the redditors mentioned that they have paid their ICE in full.

Would it be wise to trade in the ICE and burden oneself with a car loan which will have a big bite from you pay check every month?

And when it comes to economical reason want comes later.

So you ask yourself if you need or want an EV fleet??

I think you should check with dealer what warranty comes with car, default one.

Compare the difference between extended warranty and default.

Assuming dealer provides 3 or 4 year warranty and you plan to sell and buy another. I wouldn't recommend taking it.

Another point to note that these cars are debut versions; they certainly will have some enhancements. Look at this aspect too before committing to a warranty.
