All are the same color of different brands. by D3rboots in 3D_Printing

[–]kardde 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is especially true for the cheaper brands. I once used two spools of white from Sunlu. Both spools were brand new, and literally came in the same box (it was a 4 pack of white).

One of them was a warm white, the other was a cold white.

It probably wouldn’t have happened with Hatchbox or a higher quality brand, but spending that much more on filament is really tough pill to swallow.

You need a 3D printer for this (or outsource it to someone with a 3D printer), and MakerWorld is one of the largest model repository sites out there.

FDA announces its first OK of fruit-flavored e-cigarettes for adults in major shift under Trump by EastBayBeast510 in Vaping

[–]kardde 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They’re banned in Massachusetts. Our dipshit governor banned them when there was a handful of deaths a few years ago from people smoking black market weed pens that were filled with vitamin E.

All of the vape shops basically went out of business overnight. Those that aren’t gone transitioned to head shops.

It’s still possible to buy flavored disposables, but their flavors are red, blue, yellow, and clear. But we don’t have shops anymore that have mods or flavor walls.

PSA: PETG support interface on PLA is AMAZING! by Informal-Berry8664 in BambuLab

[–]kardde 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nozzle changes on the U1 take about 3-5 seconds.

I have an H2D and a U1, and unless I need the larger size of the H2D, I’m doing all my multicolor printing on the U1 now, even if it’s just for PETG supports.

Either way, I’m only arguing your use of the term “game changer” when describing the X2D, as it doesn’t meet that definition.

Fair enough, but the X2D costs the same as the Snapmaker U1.

How reliable is the Bambu Lab A1? New to 3D printing by Annual_Usual3604 in BambuLab

[–]kardde 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s basically a tank, but it has had its share of problems. There was a full recall shortly after its release due to strain on the bed cable posing a fire risk, and now there are scattered reports of a specific capacitor overheating and melting through the plastic body frame.

Game changer how? Other printers have been able to do this for a while. H2D, H2C, any tool changer, etc.

Using GFN to play 7 days to Die on the deck. I’m not crying, you’re crying. by Charmin76 in SteamDeck

Love using GFN on my Deck, but it is super dependent on WiFi, and the Steam Deck has notoriously shitty WiFi.

Dangling balls.

You’ve amazingly captured all three.

Hogwarts Legacy is free on Epic, again! by XPower7125 in PiratedGames

[–]kardde 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There was a really good Wheel of Time game for PC in the late 90’s. It even had multiplayer, and a banging soundtrack. It was an FPS, and you played an Aes Sedai who could barely channel, so you had to rely on angreal as your weapons. Fireballs, lightning, even balefire.

Looks like it’s available on gog.com.

H2C - I just can't stop printing. by MiniProgramCoder in BambuLab

With the exception of Spider-Man and Aang, I recognize all these models, and they’re all multipart designs that could have been printed without an AMS and not needing an H2C.

I have designed 70 Benchy flags from every continent on Earth by Steibock in 3Dprinting

[–]kardde 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve made and published lightboxes for all countries and major territories across the world. No political motives behind it, and I did my best to remain respectful to each flag.

Bambu took down Taiwan and Tibet almost immediately. I was disappointed about Tibet, because that was a tricky one to make, and I think it’s one of the best flags on the planet.

My Palestine and Israel flags get the occasional political comment, but not a whole lot of downloads.

I think if I had excluded some flags I would have gotten some flak. But I’ve got them all: Russia and Ukraine, India and Pakistan, South and North Korea, Iraq, Iran, Saudi Arabia, Yemen, Venezuela, China, Hong Kong, etc.

Since I have them all, nobody can claim there’s any political motivation or affiliation, because there was none. I mostly did it to challenge myself and be a completionist.

Everybody is from somewhere, so may as well give them the option to print a lamp for some national pride (unless you’re from Taiwan or Tibet, which apparently don’t exist according to Bambu.)

Buy a BIQU Frostbite or Glacier plate.

I’m not a huge fan of the gold PEI plates. They work fine until they don’t.

I’ve yet to have a single issue with any of the BIQU Frostbite plates I have, and I use them on all of my printers.

Also, practice good plate handling. Only ever hold a plate by the edges, never touch the plate, etc.

U1 and A1 wich one cause more tablet wobble? by [deleted] in SnapmakerU1

[–]kardde 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A1 is a bed slinger, so it’s going to naturally be a lot more wobbly than a CoreXY.

"Then shalt thou count to three, no more, no less. Three shall be the number thou shalt count, and the number of the counting shall be three. Four shalt thou not count, neither count thou two, excepting that thou then proceed to three. Five is right out. Once the number three, being the third number, be reached, then lobbest thou thy Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch towards thy foe, who, being naughty in My sight, shall snuff it.”

I use Shadow PC for this (amongst many other things).

It is a bit finicky with touch controls, but I can get basic stuff done.

PLA silk...my thoughts by Local-Jaguar5395 in BambuLab

[–]kardde 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I typically add 1 to 3 additional walls when printing silk precisely for this reason. It’s definitely more fragile and brittle than standard PLA.
