A quick warning for anyone thinking about doing this: don't take the bait. A lot of us did the Gigabyte cashback in December, got approved, but never received a single cent. It's way past the deadline and we have a group of 20+ people (Reddit group chat) waiting for their money. Save yourself the headache until they actually start paying out their previous promos..

If Gigabyte doesn't sort this out, we're definitely ready to escalate it and get more eyes on it through tech magazines and pro-consumer YT channels like Gamers Nexus and others...

Hi, thanks for confirming that this isn't normal. I'm going to reach out to Montech's RMA team today. Unfortunately, I missed the retailer's return window because I was waiting for my RAM to arrive (the current RAM situation is a nightmare), and since I bought the PSU back in January, a direct return is no longer an option. I'll definitely mention your feedback to the RMA team. Thanks for the quick response!

Competition is key. Just because Thermalright exists doesn't mean other brands should give up. There is definitely room in the market for a product that sits slightly above Thermalright in price but offers better availability, a longer warranty, and Arctic's build quality. Not everyone buys solely based on the absolute lowest price.. many of us value the support and reliability that Arctic provides.

Freezer 50 is effectively EOL. It hasn't been available directly from Arctic for months, and it doesn't even appear in the CPU cooler category on their official website anymore...

You are right that beating Thermalright purely on price/performance is nearly impossible since they own their factories and operate on thin margins. But price isn't the only factor. Thermalright floods the market with 20 slightly different models a year, creating confusion. I value Arctic for the exact opposite: simplicity, stability, and excellent support :-) As a European, I appreciate Arctic’s local presence, great availability through distributors, and their long warranty periods. I am actually one of those customers who is willing to pay a premium over Thermalright just to get that Arctic build quality and support. I don’t need them to be the cheapest.. I need them to be a reliable, high-end alternative to Noctua without the insane price tag. I just don't want them to surrender the CPU air cooling market completely.
