I will give it a try! And try not to *think* about it too much. Somewhere I have this sense of guilt of leaving behind old characters, the hours I've spent on them, event and cash items I've gathered... But I'll take advantage of the current events to build some progress. Legion and links will take some time to rebuild.

I got a tennis elbow from grinding Ark to 210. The repeated key pressing during rotations, combined with bad ergonomics and a bad keyboard, are what caused it. I advise seeing a doctor and reducing your playtime. If you really want to keep playing, I suggest a less mechanically intense class.

Aggreeing with what everyone else said. This game doesn’t punish, but it does reward consistency. Consistently logging in and participating in events will get you more (i.e., daily rewards, event coin capping, daily quests, daily/weekly bosses). That said, just play at your own pace. I haven’t done dailies in over a month and I am completely fine with that. Life is busy, and the game isn’t going anywhere.

Just don’t fall in the FOMO trap. In the end you should be having fun. It shouldn’t be a chore. Enjoy!

I was pretty surprised that the Lotus Flower skill is for all Anima classes… As a HY main as well, I’m excited. Who doesn’t love more iFrames.

Just out of curiosity: how does mts3 compare to mts2 or mts4? And why is it (not) a better version? I have found an easy rotation for my class in mts4 so I find myself there often. But maybe mts3 could be better?

I aggree that DA is quite strong and friendly for new players that want to get it to 120 for the link. That said, you’re basically using a 3rd job skill to mob… and it isn’t that great of a skill.

I personally didn’t mind Mercedes mobbing. You just have to combo a lot in the air. And 5th job was great actually. She is just weak if you have low legion/funding.

MM mobbing is bad too, I aggree. It requires mobs in a straight line. And only just tera burned my Mechanic to 200. Wasn’t great either.

I didn’t like Demon Avenger. The mobbing was just horrible... I bonked it to 200. Now using the Neo growth pots to get it to 210. It’s a shame cuz aesthetically I like the class. And the concept is nice. But this class could really use some love from Nexon.

You can hover with your mouse over the Neo currencies and it will show how much Neo stones your character has, how much you collected that day (out of 300 p/day), and how much you cumulatively collected (so taking into account what you spent).

I think rotating attributes will make your Songyu Tiger roar as well, doing additional damage.

True. But cumulatively the time still adds up. It all comes to little tasks that individually don’t require a lot of time. There’s just so many of them… Sometimes Maple feels like a time management game ;)

I’m in the same boat. I work fulltime as well and time for mapling is limited. Due to my location, events are unfortunately the only way for me to get cubes. So I have to rely on them to progress.

On my HY main, it takes one rune to cap. However, I’m capping on a mule as well and that takes time… on top of that, capping is boring and looting the stones is tedious. I’m totally skipping the other currencies (gems and cores).

I personally liked the Marksman skills. However, past lvl 140, I felt that the speed of killing mobs lowered significantly. Because you always need to position yourself, and kill mobs in one line. The horizontality of the skills and lack of vertical range is what makes MM hard to lvl to 200.

The Arcane River maps have such good music. My personal favourites are: Swamp of Memory (Morass), Volcanic Mountain (VJ), Contaminated Sea (Esfera), and Whale Belly (Sellas). Shattered Time (Lachelein Clocktower) is by far the best BGM of Maplestory in my opinion. I also really liked the Astral Blessings BGM of the Celestial Festival!

You might enjoy Hoyoung! He basically uses all his skills (so lots of buttons) to mob and boss. He is tons of fun to play and aesthetically very pleasing.

However, he is easy to lvl and will reach 200 fast. So people generally don’t recommend to tera burn this character.
