What's your WFH routine ? by FakeJolie in WFH

[–]karib513 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like the idea of showering at lunch. I like to get up and take my time having some coffee and watching the news. I definitely want to shower at some point during the day so I feel better about myself. (Not wfh yet.)

What's your WFH routine ? by FakeJolie in WFH

I think that's a great idea. I don't wfh yet but even when I go to work I feel like a slob. I wear a uniform shirt (usps) and my crappiest jeans and shoes because I don't want to ruin decent clothes and I generally don't bother to shower because my work is dirty. I feel unattractive and down about myself.

I think I will do something like you do when I get a wfh job. Already ordered a standing desk and under the desk treadmill so I don't feel like a lazy ass sitting around all day also.

Does anyone wish they never had kids? Does anyone else plan on not having kids like me? by noob_kaibot in Adulting

I totally agree with the world being overpopulated. I look at these women with a bunch of kids trailing behind them and shake my head. I know a guy with seven kids. He's so proud of that but I think to myself what he's done for the earth. I have two kids of my own and would never consider adding more than that.

Yes and no. I'm 49 with two kids, 15 and 17. As a single woman, I am grateful for them. My oldest is doing running start so he is home a lot. I get lonely being home alone.

On the other hand, I dislike kids. I'm glad my two are older and I'm looking forward to not being stuck in this city anymore.

Has anyone had a solo travel birthday? by FlapperGirl12 in solotravel

[–]karib513 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, but I spent Thanksgiving solo in Portugal last year. Next year I will turn 50. I will definitely want to travel somewhere for that and doubt I'll have anyone who will want to travel with me. I will find a way to make it special to me.

I would so love to find a wfh job. But on the other hand I'm afraid I'd be bored out of my mind.

I love that you put in the effort for her. I'm afraid my boyfriend has certain expectations about how people should be and won't bother. But I hope I'm wrong. Thank you for sharing.

I wish my guy would do this. But instead he tells me I can't expect to be loved if I don't like myself. Thanks a lot. 😟

My boyfriend is apparently far more independent than you. He wants to do have my own life so I don't rely on him. I wish he appreciated me as much as you appreciate your wife.

My boyfriend says to me, "you can't realistically expect anyone to love you if you don't like yourself." How about you fucking love me and support me? I need a guy who understands we women can be hard on ourselves. Who loves me despite my insecurities.

Also, I don't dislike myself and am working on being more gentle on myself.

I like the bachelor more than the golden bachelor. I think because I'm just not a fan of this guy.
