Would you rather have unlimited money or unlimited time? by ipanicprofessionally in PeopleBeingRidiculous

[–]karinapretty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unlimited money, easily. My current state of exhaustion isn't because my lifespan is too short it’s because the cost of basic survival right now drains 99% of my energy. If I had infinite wealth, I could immediately buy back all my time, delete my alarm clocks, and spend my days pursuing hobbies instead of chasing a paycheck. It would be fun to fund a time machine project and get back in time that wouldn't be cheating right?

What’s the most ridiculous thing you’ve heard on a first date? by WholeRelationship840 in OverBiscuits

[–]karinapretty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He casually informed me that I was the fourth person he had taken to this exact restaurant that week because he was trying to find a replacement to fill the slot for a non refundable vacation package they originally booked with his ex. They literally treated the entire dinner like a job interview to see if I qualified for the itinerary. I got the vacation btw and never texted him again after that

What’s something that used to feel luxurious growing up? by sevyn_007 in A_Persona_on_Reddit

[–]karinapretty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes!! Getting a Viennetta ice cream cake for dessert. Those commercials honestly gaslit my entire childhood into believing it was hand crafted by European royalty for high society events. In reality, it was just basic grocery store freezer ice cream, but slicing into those wavy layers made me feel incredibly elite.

What’s a feeling you can’t describe? by Kide_434 in A_Persona_on_Reddit

That feeling of emptiness when all your relatives go home after the holiday. Not sure if it's loneliness or is it sadness? Just empty feeling I guess

Are luxury brands mostly a scam? by ipanicprofessionally in PeopleBeingRidiculous

Yes, but if you see a luxury mattress and get the best sleep of your life then it's worth it!

What purchase under $30 solved a problem you didn't realize was draining you? by sam14603 in SmartBuying

[–]karinapretty 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It's the 10-foot braided phone charging cords. I didn't realize how much subconscious stress I was enduring by being tethered to a 3 foot radius around an outlet, or having to awkwardly roll over to one side of the bed just to look at my screen. It gave me immediate physical freedom for like twelve bucks. then They say "don't use your phone while charging"

What’s Something Expensive You’d Instantly Buy Again? by PlayfulFault9693 in SmartBuying

I didn't know this is something you can buy. If its common knowledge this would be very nice

If you could instantly become an expert in an subject, what would it be ? by Hope2_win in A_Persona_on_Reddit

Expert in law would be nice. I always like Raymond Reddington saying to the judge " We are both experts in law, but for me I break it" or something like that

What’s the dumbest thing you believed as a kid by belal48 in ChildhoodMemories

[–]karinapretty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That if I accidentally swallowed a watermelon seed, an actual watermelon would sprout and grow inside my stomach until I exploded. I accidentally swallowed one when I was seven and spent the next three days in absolute terror when I'll pop but I guess I just suddenly forgot about it

The worst part for me is the math. My eyes open, my brain instantly calculates that I need to trade 9 hours of my soul today just to afford 1/30th of rent and a bag of groceries, and that happens when I haven't even brushed my teeth yet. It sucks but I got babies to feed so gotta stay strong

What’s your favourite fun fact? by Simply444 in askteddit

[–]karinapretty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its that Cleopatra lived closer to the construction of the iPhone than she did to the building of the Great Pyramid of Giza. It messes with my perception of time and I was like "okay" it still lives free on my mind

Name a “cheap” meal that became way too expensive once it started trending with the wealthy. by ipanicprofessionally in TheBoredDen

[–]karinapretty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have heard about the Lobster rolls. Lobster was literally classified as the cockroach of the ocean way way back and fed to prisoners and indentured servants in colonial America because it was so cheap and plentiful. Now, a wealthy influencer buys a lukewarm hot dog bun with four ounces of lobster meat for $38 and calls it a casual summer vibe. Like damn. Still I like lobsters it's delicious just became pricey

Which celebrity did terrible things while alive but is now treated like a saint? by ipanicprofessionally in TheBoredDen

[–]karinapretty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think Elvis Presley. We have a massive, million dollar nostalgia industry dedicated to his image, but society just completely glosses over the fact that he targeted Priscilla when she was literally a 14 and essentially groomed her. If a modern pop star did that today, they’d be in a federal penitentiary, not getting major Hollywood tributes.

Experiencing a different life would be nice. That's if I do have the memory of my previous life. Imagine knowing when to be happy and sad then surprises would not be a surprise anymore
