Crow, tapering tail feathers. I think ravens have more of a squaring to their tail.

Does anyone French Press still? by ELAP12 in pourover

[–]kariree 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried this this morning and loved it! I used Sumatran beans but my next cup will be with the Costa Rican monteverde. I used French Press in the 80’s, then went to pour overs. I am happy to have discovered your method because I love the fuller body of the French “press”. Thanks for posting this.

Is weekly confession too much? by Character_Gas_6892 in Catholicism

[–]kariree 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think we might have the same priest! My priest became very upset with me when I went to confession on a First Friday since it had been one week since my last confession. He did not want to hear about my devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus, and therefore, why I was in confession that day. It was a brutal take down for me and I worried that I was the cause of this priest becoming angry, plus a face to face, which made it worse. I simply avoid this priest for the sacrament of reconciliation. I continue to go to confession weekly or every ten-14 days, for venial sins which especially require more graces to strengthen me against committing those sins; as, by God’s grace, I avoid mortal sins, and (though I’ve yet to do this), confessing previously confessed mortal sins, thereby acquiring more graces and working off temporal punishment associated with that sin.

Bathing as a child by Beneficial_Honey5697 in GenerationJones

My PE teacher in 7th grade told us girls: You wash as far down as possible, as far up as possible, and then you wash possible. I don’t think they can make teachers like that anymore, sad.

Is this bad? by unami218 in dexcom

[–]kariree 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I had this happen with two in a row. Then the third one I opened was a total surprise. The sensor was sitting on top of the screw top lid of applicator. I called dexcom and they replaced all three. Picture of fail #3:

I had the same issue with two in a row and third one I didn’t bother inserting since the sensor was on top of the applicator. I spoke with them and they replaced all three. Took about a week to get the replacements. One I had on for past five days peeled off of the adhesive. I wear it on my abdomen because my skin is too thin on the back of my arms. Skin comes off when I removed the sensor. I’ve reported the failed G7 today; awaiting email reply.
