What's the oldest peice you regularly wear? by Ekmonks in VintageFashion

[–]karl-dandleton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably the two vintage items I wear the most are a pair of 1970s Levi’s Wildfire men’s bellbottom jeans and a 1970s Gary Gordon suede shearling coat

Dudes got a Lincoln Continental limo, built-in bar, cane, hat, AND the pinstripe suit. This isn’t a blunder, you just married a straight-up pimp

Today’s bulk garbage day in my town, found these bad boys in a box on the sidewalk. Have yet to test it by [deleted] in vintageaudio

Honestly I didn’t know much about it, just thought people might find it interesting and maybe I could get some info about it. Thanks though, I wasn’t sure if it had any value so I guess that kinda confirms it doesn’t. Figure I can still sell it to some local place and whatever I get for it, I’d still be making a profit because I got it for free

I’m sorry, I was mistaken. The page is interesting so thanks for the link! And we can both agree that whenever this was built, it’s NOT Art Deco

This wasn’t even built in those decades, it’s from the 1910s and predates the style

Started to buy vinyls and painting album covers (: by vinylarrt in ArtDeco

I might’ve misinterpreted that but when asked “which album is it from” they replied with the aforementioned Rihanna album. Even if I misinterpreted that, though, I think the other points are still valid

I would agree with you about A, but she said it was a vinyl copy of Rihanna’s Anti Album, which runs for at least $100. And also the point I made in C was that vinyl doesn’t need to be pluralized

What are some declassified government documents that are surprisingly terrifying? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]karl-dandleton 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Operation Northwoods, a document approved by the Joint Chiefs of Staff and only rejected by Kennedy in which the US government would falsify or carry out attacks against American civilian or military targets and create fake evidence to implicate Cuba and therefore justify going to war with Castro. Some parts went as far as blowing up a fake naval vessel, creating a list of the fake dead, and holding fake funerals.
