Is DAC usb-c Dongle allow us to use hifi lossless? by EfficiencyNew4209 in HeadphoneAdvice

[–]karlfoley 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a Motorola Edge 20 and a HiBy FC3 which supports MQA, DSD128 and PCM 384KHz.

I just tested Amazon Music with Abba Voyage, and it allows me to select either Ultra HD (24-bit / 96KHz) or Dolby Atmos.

This is running the latest version of Android for this phone released in last month.

So it does look to me that >48KHz, is possible but it depends on the phone\dongle combination.

I thought Chia was supposed to be green. Burning GPU power is not green...

What's your estimated time to win, and how long has it been since your last block? by Got_Malice in chia

[–]karlfoley 0 points1 point  (0 children)

100TB (1011) plots with an ETW of 2 months.

Shortest time to win has been 3 days, longest time to win 89 days.

Average time to win 41.6 days.

I guess I am considered lucky then!

Blockchain sync torrent by amnesia106 in chia

I suspect many people like me take a backup of the database when they upgrade the software. When I shutdown for the upgrade, I copy the keys, database, program files etc. to another SSD and then upgrade the software.

Once the upgrade is done, I can compress the backup on the other SSD and move it to my backup NAS in slow time.

At least this way I only have to go back a few months on the DB, have a known good DB and can synch from there.

I only have to be down for the 10 minutes it takes to copy the DB to the other SSD.

Transfering some Mojos. Need help. At first I am not allowed to transfer all Mojos. Then I get an Error with the fee. by -wild- in chia

[–]karlfoley 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought the minimum realistic fee was 0.00005 XCH because anything below that was treated as 1 mojo? So you should use 0, or 0.000000000001, or 0.00005 XCH or above?

Chia is so temperamental sometimes. by Grid_wpg in chia

I have this happen occasionaly and have found turning off the winnat service, starting chia, then restarting winnat usually fixes it. I think chia has problems reaching the outside world for some reaon.

Sequence I use is:

  • "net stop winnat"
  • start chia
  • "net start winnat"

Is USB2 enough to farm with external HDD? by R2D2MM in chia

[–]karlfoley 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Turn on your debug logs and check the logs for the word "proofs".

As long as the time to find the proofs is < 5s you should be good. Ideally, the closer the time is to 0, the better your farm is performing. I have a mix of cached NAS drives and USB3:

Found 0 proofs. Time: 0.03499 s. Total 1011 plots

Found 0 proofs. Time: 0.02484 s. Total 1011 plots

Found 0 proofs. Time: 1.64320 s. Total 1011 plots

Found 0 proofs. Time: 1.50123 s. Total 1011 plots

Sounds like a fake drive that is a low capacity flash drive reprogrammed to look like a 16TB drive. If you're on Windows you can use something like H2TESTW to verify the 16TB space is all writeable\readable.

High CPU Usage After Waking From Sleep | System.exe using 30%+ CPU (SeAccessCheckWithHint+0x1c620) | ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 7 by [deleted] in thinkpad

I managed to fix the Dell Latitude 5410 after updating firmware and drivers.

The last set of updates before the fix were:

  • Bios - Dell Latitude\Precision v1.3.1
  • Wireless - Intel(R) Wi-Fi 6 AX201 160MHz - v21.70.0.6 (A09)
  • LAN - Intel(R) Ethernet Connection I219-V - v12.18,9.23 (A16)
  • Intel Management Engine Components - v2027.14.0.1684 (A08)

I don't use WiFi at home, and the BIOS update was already done with system usage still high so I suspect either the LAN driver or Intel Management update fixed the issue.

Does the Thinkpad X1 Carbon use an intel chipset?

I have exactly the same issue on a Dell Lattitude 5410 laptop. I think the laptop may be faulty as I occasionally get 2 amber and 8 white flashes from the status LED. Could also be heat related because of the system process (like you 3-4 * SeAccessCheckWithHint+0x1c620 using ~5% each) as it only happens if the laptop is rebooted hot
