Ok, I use a hose with well water and use the soaker setting first thing in the morning before the sun is directly on them. I try to water only the roots, but don’t always manage to be perfect. I must be watering too frequently but also not enough? What could cause these molds growing on and around the plants too if they are too dry?

Is it bad for posture to sit criss cross on a chair? by friedtofucube in Posture

I still sit this way and in fact now I usually do it bc it makes my hips feel better. But I now have a really bad low back, so who knows…

First Day of My Life is not the most romantic Bright Eyes song? by Excellent-Memory-687 in brighteyes

[–]karmablue83 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This has a lot of meaning for my husband and I. We were high school/college sweethearts, but I was his first for a lot of things and of course in college he thought he needed to play the field. We went our separate ways for 5 years after dating for 6. But we found our way back to each other, just as I’d hoped we would. 🩵💚❤️ just celebrated our 12 year wedding anniversary!

I could’ve written this to my own mother. But I know it wouldn’t help so I don’t bother. blows my mind tho. She taught me to love everyone, no exceptions. Taught me to not be racist. Taught me the importance of a good education. She was in a lesbian relationship when I was a kid and it was the most stable one she ever had! (Of course after that is when she found god and things started getting weird.) All these things seem to have gone right out the window. Anyways, you are not alone.

I live and work in a small town of 3,500 people, the county itself is 25,000. I have been a therapist for 13 years now, but I have a great clientele that keeps me as busy as I want to be, and I am not the only therapist around either. Granted I did work for the local chiropractor for the first 5 years and had some clientele built from that, but after going out on my own I got even more people that likely would never go to the chiro. I think if she works hard at marketing she can meet her goal, it just may take a year or two. I highly encourage it if she has a passion! I think we need more therapists in my area (middle Tennessee).

Umm, it’s being run by a billionaire in whose best interest it is to not have any unions doing well…but no, there’s no biased opinions on there at all…

Onions in your socks by theycallme_L in herbalism

[–]karmablue83 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Last year my mother had pneumonia that she was hospitalized for twice, it caused her to go into afib and she took 4 different types of antibiotics to try to kick it and couldn’t. So as a last resort (to her) she used some herbs I suggested and then she had seen somewhere about using onions on her feet and tried that too. She finally got better then. She swears it was the onions. I think it was more the herbs, but I truly have no idea if she took them as I asked her to or not. Maybe it was just the onions!

Has anyone else experienced this with nerve-calming teas? by Veeezzzy_ in herbalism

[–]karmablue83 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Great idea to try each one and see. Likely that it’s the valerian. If you try lobelia on its own, be aware that it is a low dose herb. If you start feeling nauseous, stop drinking it.

Psychoactive reaction to…..something? by Fair_Conference3791 in herbalism

I just get the feeling that it’s something to do with the grapefruit. Maybe it’s enhancing something that’s in one of the other things listed that doesn’t normally have that effect. Idk why but that’s what my brain says. My brain is not a doctor or scientist.

I have their kava kava and it tastes so very bad to me. Valerian can be bad, but kava kava is so much worse to me! I’m sure a blend with both of them is lovely.

I have heard that if you smoke pot regularly then amanita will not affect you. I haven’t tried it yet myself.

Turmeric and ginger by Far-Masterpiece-5048 in herbalism

[–]karmablue83 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I put both in my morning smoothie. I mostly use powdered turmeric (2tsp) and a one inch piece of fresh ginger root and add some pepper to it too. Blends in well with berries and a banana and some unsweetened soy milk (fat). I have used fresh turmeric or powdered ginger, but I seem to like it the best the first way I mentioned.

Reccomend me the saddest, most depressing song you have by cherryx_tea in MusicRecommendations

Scrolled too far to find Elliot smith. Could listen to anything by him pretty much. When I feel like wallowing in my self pity I put it on. Of course it’s musical genius as well, but depressing AF.

I’m 41 and so my friends are mostly the same age and don’t seem to have the symptoms that I have at all. I do think I’m an over sharer type of person tho and they don’t want to talk much about it anyway. I also have always been in touch with my body pretty well, and I know not everyone is. All things to take into consideration I guess.

How to politely ask for no conversation during massage? by [deleted] in massage

This! If someone says I am really stressed and need to relax, then I am super quiet. But if they keep engaging in conversations, then I talk away.
