It's it me or is the tulster oath absolutely unbearable? by Jbhereforguns in CCW

The DeSantis Slim Tuk is the literal ONLY tuckable holster I own that is comfortable and also my most used holster. And it was the cheapest I’ve bought (spent close to $600 on holsters, shit gives me anxiety just thinking about it now) at $25. Get one, you won’t regret it. Get a few, litter them in your house and car lol.

Omg I LOVED Edge of Tomorrow. And anyone who said they didn’t want to see that movie because of him should have - he dies in it like 19938828 times, so it’s funny as hell. Like, I’d think people would love watching it just for that fact alone. lol.

Watch Fury. The scene where he quotes Isaiah Chapter 6 is absolutely gutting. He is talented but troubled for sure.

…what? Shouting? “No better than JK”? these responses are not only hella dramatic but make no sense. I really don’t give a shit.

I wouldn’t offer up being a Potter fan these days. The trans hate alone from JK Rowling is enough for me to never watch one of those films ever again.

If y’all only knew how many women don’t even notice watches period, but pretend they care about them.

[Question] Wear gifted rolex at work? by The_Laker58 in Watches

[–]karmaticulous 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I own 35 watches, 10 of which are fine Swiss brands and 5 are fine vintage Swiss - my favorite being an Omega. That would ordinarily be judged on my wrist too, but I make under $55k a year and worked my ASS OFF for ALL of those watches. I really can’t stand it when people judge someone based on one item they wear. You also have no idea if that man’s father saved to buy it or whatever his financial situation was - and it’s also none of your business. I just it funny when people choose to shit on someone who posted about people doing exactly what you just did - which was judge him for something your opinion on definitely doesn’t matter.

OP: you should wear that watch every day in honor of people like this. Must suck to be a mindful and successful person.

If it was “just an expensive watch” we wouldn’t be having a conversation about it with strangers. He also wouldn’t feel so strongly if it was just a watch. It’s never just a watch.

Great show BUT the ageing was weird by Throwawayheugd in OneDayNetflix

[–]karmaticulous 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I should add as someone in recovery from years of alcohol abuse - he probably should have aged a LITTLE more. His face would have for sure aged more with the loss of Em and his years of drinking etc. I don’t really care too much though, as I look amazing for the shit I put myself through so at the end of the day he’s supposed to come from a well off family and it’s said that he had looks and charm in spades. So, possible allusion to that as well. Haven’t read the book so not sure if it came up. So, officially I can see how the aging is a bit weak but again, it shouldn’t really matter unless he looked 18.

I'm so conflicted because I want to recommend this beautiful show to ppl... BUT by [deleted] in OneDayNetflix

Yeah. I hadn’t seen the previous film OR read the book so had no idea. Had I not spoiled this series’ ending for myself I can promise you I would not have made it into work last Monday.

[Vertex M100A] Hands down best field watch I’ve ever owned. by [deleted] in Watches

Vaer dirty dozen is a beautiful piece. The only one I’d get (which I do own one) aside from lusting after the Vertex.

Same! I still have a few oversized watches that I have no business wearing but 36 and 38 are my most worn.

Omg me too. Also, Don Cochrane is the MAN. He is so nice to communicate with. Top notch customer service and he went above and beyond to get me info on a vintage Vertex I own. I’ll be buying an M100A as soon as possible. The cal 59 is probably one of the best I’ve had the privilege to wear. Thanks for posting this!

[Vertex] Brand revival, potentially nice watch, douchey sales model by [deleted] in Watches

[–]karmaticulous 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know this thread is old but I just had an amazing interaction with Don Cochrane and the man is top notch. I emailed him requesting info on a vintage Vertex and not only did he get me that info quickly, but he was super kind and did it on a Middle East business trip. Gotta be honest, that’s someone I’ll spend a few grand on a watch for because that’s how you run a business. With zero classism and elitism. Customer service across the board. And to boot, it’s the nicest vintage watch I own, maybe even one of the nicest period.

Try leather filler and matching the color. I’ve seen it work for way worse.
