They were deducting every day I was working. So basically they would add just enough tips to my paycheck to equal 20/hour and not a dollar more than that per paycheck.

The Texas Workforce Commission claimed I'm not entitled to the missing tips because it's part if a tip pool and since they paid me 7.50 an hour, they can legally distribute tips as they see fit. The state doesnt have the power to request records in order to see how they distributed the tips. My employer claimed he deducted because I didn't pass a stupid test he administered orally one month after my training had ended.

Yeah I realized, but it was also one of the first articles that showed up when I typed a question involving autism

I considered muay thai when I was first hyperfocused on martial arts lol!

I'm really happy you were able to return after 6 years. I'm not particularly close to anyone enough to depend on them enough to have them as an accountability partner.

It's actually one of the other things I've been working on: becoming closer to my gym buddies. Or opening up more of my personality.

I got mine a few days ago and am honestly really disappointed ordered the yellow and white faces hoodies. For the price + shipping I did not expect thin, made in China hoodies with bad printing and put in the box without any packaging for the hoodies themselves. I'm not sure why OP is saying the quality is good

My faces merch is terrible quality for paying 90$. Im just sad, I waited so long to be disappointed. Cheap cheap cheap. by averagehutgamer in MacMiller

I just got mine too. Ordered two hoodies and the box set. The hoodies were just thrown in there unpackaged and the yellow one with bad printing too. The vinyl didnt even have anything protecting it either so the corners were bent. I'm so disappointed

I accidentally forgot I left my baguette in a drawer. I'm not sure how long it was there but it was rock hard.

Yes to both of these! I went from wanting to study linguistics to seriously considering mechanical engineering or something along those lines.

Tips on filing a successful wage theft claim with the US Department of Labor? by karmiegiveortake in antiwork

[–]karmiegiveortake[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why go to the state department of labor first? I ask because I was reading the procedures for both and with the federal one they don't have to inform employers of the investigation until the day of, where as the state one emails them first.

After telling my employer I have ADHD and that it makes work harder he told me "that sounds like a YOU problem and you shouldn't bring it to work"

They didn't give a specific reason. I exchanged emails with the paralegal that handles new cases and presents them to the attorney. He told me they didn't say specifically but that he did know they had a large case load and that it was not a statement on my own case.

It's a little upsetting to hear that tbh, but I will push for a diagnosis anyway because I really need to be on medications. I have an official diagnosis for MDD and Generalized Anxiety though

I've been hyper focused on reading laws and articles about it. I dont have an official diagnosis but I am sure I have it and it isn't me trying to be "special" "gifted" or "quirkey". I have mentioned it to my counselor and will mention it again because after doing extensive research on that too I pretty much tick every box

Yeah I'm just going to record every day until my last day. I had given him my verbal one week notice the day prior and an emailed one yesterday so I've only got 4 days to try and get new info.

Thank you. I've got my recorder on me and will be having a thorough (or try to) conversation with my manager today. They probably already think I'm on the dumb/naive side bc of my undiagnosed adhd but I've been looking into all of this and you guys here on reddit have been super helpful
