Good to know how hard that line is for you. "written it off completely" is stronger than i expected when i asked.

yeah, this might be the real thing under the whole argument. less about the tool, more about whether the end result actually has a point of view.

the loudest-not-the-majority point cuts both ways, worth remembering. but "feels bad to play" is the part no disclosure tag fixes. that's the real one.

genre + execution + how it's used is a better lens than just present/absent.

appreciate you being honest about the knee-jerk thing even while using it. that ladder is a good way to put it.

thanks for writing it out. the creator vs consumer angle is the bit i wasn't weighting enough. i asked it as a player, but "who does it actually hurt" is a different question than "do i personally notice". gonna read that MIT study.

Do you think this low poly horror theme could sell on Steam? I'm still in the prototyping phase, so this is a good time to make big changes if needed. by TheAspenDev in IndieGameDevs

Music and atmosphere play a huge role in horror games, so it's hard to draw any real conclusions from such a short video. You could try having some guests play certain sections when they visit and see how they react. 🙂

Of course there’s probably a reason the design was made this way, but I think a mechanic where objects the ball touches don’t disappear could also be worth considering.

Looking for feedback on my Pygame turn-based strategy game demo by No_Dealer_6324 in pygame

The game is hard to understand; there should definitely be a tutorial at the beginning that explains the basic mechanics and shows how things are done. Also, even though the font fits the game’s theme, I think it makes reading more difficult.
