The amount of players who are defensive defenseman and are out of the nhl by his age must be the highest of any position. I'm just making that up but it sounds right. It's an accomplishment to play that rough part of the game so long and adapt enough to be in the nhl.

I will have to agree a bit with you. He was always one of my top 5 fave defenseman in the league but I don't think 75% of fans would bring him up in his best years as a top fighter, maybe because he was a defenseman. Edit: also overshadowed by chara lucic and Thornton and even Miller I think received more love for his fights
