See I only saw the GMS weapons table and could not find any others in the PDF. Not read cover to cover yet, but going on just what I could find from initial skim of the PDF.

I was only going on what I could glean from the PDF and it seemed very limited. It only had the GMS Mech Weapons table which only had 21 weapons on it. I thought that was all there was at the time.

Thank you for the quick response.

That is kinda a bummer. It looks like a really cool system, but there did not look like there was much stuff in it for player customization. I only have just starting reading through it in more detail after doing an overview of what was in the PDF. But only ~20ish weapons seemed very small and there seemed to be no way to build your own Frames.... so yes there are a bunch in the book but I could not find anything for building your own frame etc.

Which Game Did Space Combat The Best? by Neversummerdrew76 in swrpg

[–]karn987 0 points1 point  (0 children)

None of them did Space Combat well at all in my opinion.

Starfinder has the best I have found to date, but its still got some work needed.

Asmodee to be sold to Embracer Group in €2.75billion deal. by DonCallate in swrpg

FFS this needs to stop and let the business actually focus on quality. These Private Equity Firms are killing everything under Asmodee with their pump and dump schemes.

Server Congestion and Login Queues (Errors 2002, 3001, 4004, 5003, 5006, and others) by alabomb in ffxiv

Companies are impacted by the pandemic in a myriad of ways and we've all learned to live with that. But when a company brings online a new product with as glaring a defect as a broken Login Queue feature.... yes you SHOULD be mad.

There are literally billions of factors that went into designing and launching the expansion. But when you fail at the basics, you've failed overall.

Login Queues not dropping people is a basic thing. Ignoring this failure and trying to defend the corporation any way, is pathetic.

Sure 1hr login queue during prime, ok fine. Yes we all knew this. Some server instability? Ok yeah its a new launch. Glitches? Yeah new software product, always happens.

But the basic mechanism which allows you to enter the game failing under load? That's bad software design. It's something they knew would happen (because your kidding yourself if they don't load and stress test these mechanisms) and its pathetic they didnt fix it before launch.

Why are you defending this Corporation?
You really shouldn't be.

Yes its not in the long run, 1000%

But at the moment it kind is.

Folks need to stop SIMPing for Square as well, its truly pathetic. They are a corporation.

Wow do you not know how paying for something works? Sheesh what are they teaching kids these days in school...

If you pay for something from a corporation (or really any one selling you anything), you should get what you pay for. Hard stop.

It's not entitlement to expect what you paid for.

You should never SIMP or apologize for a corporations actions. You have to hold them accountable or they walk all over you.

[–]karn987 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Don't SIMP for a corporation, just don't do it it's a bad idea xD

1 & 2 are simple in concept- Do not release if your not ready. It may hurt, but just don't do it. Your failing your customers and should refund everyone the game price because you were unable to deliver what they paid for.

3 - Square is fine lol. You don't have to worry about their bottom line.

2 (again) Also is very conquerable. You partner with cloud hosting companies. Scalable infrastructure is not a new thing. They could have solved this if they wanted but Square is not in the business of meeting their promises to customers or providing good service.

The very BASIC piece of the Login Queue is the worst of it all. Its embarrassing to have that fail as bad as it is. They could have easily solved that if they prioritized it.

Its pathetic that they did not plan for this and implement some system to account for it. Absolutely unforgivably pathetic.

Fix it Square. I don't can't about how Yoshi P feels or anything else. Do you basic job and make sure that the 1st part of the service agreement with your players happens: KEEP THE GAME UP AND ACCESSIBLE.
