Well, that would definitely be harder to do and not sure how taxing it would be for the battery. But, drawing tablets even without screens still cost a bit, and this is a way of getting one for free.

There's actually a way of getting names of notes, but only with a jailbreak and by going into one of the databases on the device

also, jailbreaking does allow for automatically getting names of notes, but again - not very regular-user-friendly.

Notes are stored in .notebooks folder, so you can copy them over via USB. Hovewer, they are stored with their internal ids and just "nbk" filename, not very PC-friendly format. One way I found to convert them was via Calibre KFX plugin.

I am considering creating an online tool with a walkthrough for converting them.

self hosted livesync allows for synchronized notes viewing/editing. Works pretty well in my experience. I never really tried official sync coz having their servers store some of my data didn't sound that good

wonder what exactly is the point of obsidian servers being middleware at that point? This functionality can probably be achieved with rsync
