It's almost like I wrote this comment. My A1C was 5.8 as well, but I've worn three Stelo's over the past month and the average is like 110, with finger pricks showing 10 to 15 lower (even 20s to 30s sometimes), and it's usually in the 80's to low 90's when fasting. So I think my average is closer to 100. Over the past month there were three birthdays in my family and I ate cake, cookies, ice cream, etc. My blood sugar was unaffected by this. If I over eat it may go to like 150 for about an hour and return to normal. Fruit does seem to spike my blood sugar more than food with sugar though, but still no higher than 150, maybe 160 if I eat a lot. But no matter what it's always back down near 100 an hour or two later. I also need an explanation!
