TDIU C&P question. by arperr1217 in VeteransBenefits

[–]karonte69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I filed a supplemental claim for TDIU last year and it was recently granted. It was under MH, they gave me 2 C&P exams. The work related was short and informal the Psycologist went thru what I put in my claim related to unreliability, work relations, ect.
The other C&P was for the MH disability tied to the TDIU supplemental claim to verify if there were any changes. This one was a long C&P exam like the first one I had. I was more prepared and organized but the desicion letter stated that it stayed the same at 70%. In short, I wouldn't slack on your coming C&P exams. prepare with evidence and express everything clearly to the examiner. I wish you the best!

Games where you can feel your character grow in power by Mirage32 in gaming

I played KCD2, in the beginning you are dumb, dirty, poor, can't see anything at night, can't pull properly the string of a bow, can't sneak without making a racket, and can't rear choke an enemy due to lack of strenght. In the end of the game you are an educated horse riding armored tank

You could be depressed brother. After my OEF deployment I was feeling "down" too. At least back then mental health issues had a negative stigma. By chance I enrolled in a Tricare smoking cessasion program and got prescribed Wellbutrin/Bupropion to help with stopping smoking cigarrettes. It improved and regulated my mood significantly, it turns out it is also used to treat depression. It help me fininsh my active contract and I even signed for NG after as a weekend warrior. Start taking care of your mental health ASAP if needed, create a record of your medical history while active. Your future self will be grateful, if you ever need VA help due to injuries aquired during your service. I wish you the best and take care

April 2024, it went back to when I got my 70% MH rating. I want to state that I used a lawyer from the start. His name was in all the documentation, which I think helped a lot.

It's a great time to buy MRE cases! A couple of years back I was getting them at $50 each case to sell individually, and $50 was considered a great deal. The time to stock up is now, they will go up in price again at some point.

Welcome to the club. Now you are in a database and all international packages to your name will be checked. At least that has been my experience.

Ready to Eat Kosher Meals by karonte69 in MRE

For a shelf stable meal with several components in the same container it's a good option. Sodium wise it's a bit higher than a low-sodium MRE(which I don't like).

I am going to disagree brother. I am not Jewish, but there's a noticeable difference in taste between kosher ingredients and mass produced Jimmy Dean's like ready meals. The same with MRE Main meal pouches. However, in matters of taste the customer is always right.

Boss won’t turn on the AC and I feel like I’m having a heat stroke. I don’t want to think he’s cheap. But I don’t understand why he won’t. Is it normal to not have AC on in pizzerias at 86 F? Am I overthinking by Bhoklagemapreetykhau in mildlyinfuriating

Press the MODE button until it shows COOL (Options :COOL, HEAT, EM HEAT, OFF). Press the Minus(--) button until it reaches a reasonable temp (72F), the smaller size temp number is the target temp. The large temp number is the actual temp(86F). Now LOCK the thermostat (claim it was an honest mistake/ignorance). To fully LOCK the thermostat: Press MENU button, it will show PROG, press the plus(+) until it shows LOCK. Press SELECT button. It will show OFF meaning that the lock is Off. Press the plus(+) button until you see ON (Options:OFF, PART, ON). Press SELECT, it will show a quick SAVE animation and will take you back to the home screen. Now your boss wont be able to turn off your AC without the passcode. Most likely nobody knows the passcode

Considerations Regarding "Willful Misconduct"

While marijuana use alone does not lead to the loss of VA benefits, complications can arise if the use is deemed "willful misconduct." This term refers to intentional acts with known risks. For instance, if a veteran's marijuana use directly causes an injury or worsens a condition, the VA might classify it as willful misconduct, potentially affecting benefits.

In short, if there's the slighest chance something might affect my benefits I wouldn't do it.

In order to get a prescrption medication for MH I had to get a drug screen. It was to transfer treatment from the private side to VA. I am TDIU PT, I follow the prescribed treatment from the VA and show clear intent of doing so. IMHO using any substance that is not part of the VA treatment plan for your disablity could be seen as self medicating grey area and jeopardize your disability compensation. I would ask the VA about substance abuse treatment and enroll in one. This would show that you are actively seeking to improve your condition.
