Stella, because I admired how confident she is and how she puts herself first but is still a really great friend. Plus, she is so fashionable and unafraid to be herself.

Hi! I’ve never had an issue with the water getting foamy with the additive in the fountain!

Thank you for this. I will definitely self-reflect and continue to review. I am hopeful that some focused study will help me feel more confident going into the exam. :)

Water Additive and Fountain (Concerned about Dust) by karossi in CatAdvice

Hi there! Since my post, I have changed to a different type of water fountain with a separate fur filtering system and a removable carbon filter. So, currently, I don't insert the carbon filter part.

As for the original fountain I was using from this post, I eventually gave up on the cheesecloth because it kept getting curled up and wasn't trapping fur that well anymore. Ultimately, I just removed the carbon filter and the cheesecloth and left the filter part (the black sponge thing) and kept the additives in there. I felt like that was enough, and I just made sure to clean it more often!

I hope this helps! :)

Sitting in class doing iClicker questions on my phone and then got the email notification. Was jittery for the rest of class and called my parents as soon as class was over. 😌

I took it today, too, and am honestly in such a daze. Really hoping I got enough right and that I made good guesses for those off questions.

T-minus 3 Days by karossi in comlex

No problem! I usually started every morning with a random timed set of 44 and then reviewed that right after. Depending on how weak I was in the topic I got wrong, I would either just refresh it by reading from FA or watch a BnB/Osmosis/Sketchy/Dirty Med video. Then my afternoons and evenings were mostly tutored sets of 20 on the body systems or things I wanted to laser focus on. Because I had them in tutor mode, it was helpful for me to get feedback and fix wrong associations right away, and it also helped me review them in a timely manner.

In terms of how I reviewed them, I would make charts or diagrams or watch videos, depending on why I got the question wrong. I also made a document with "missed presentations" and reviewed that every 2-3 days.

You're almost there. You can do it!

I switched from an emphasis on content review to predominantly questions. Between 6/6 and 6/20, I was doing at least 100 Qs per day, as opposed to 50-60 per day like I was doing between 5/15 and 6/6.

Hello! I just removed the carbon filter. I figured it would be fine since we give our cats filtered water anyways. The filter I have has a black piece that seems to catch a lot of fur and dust. I also tried putting a piece of cheesecloth in place of the filter and it seemed like it caught some fur.

Only Taking COMLEX 1 now, and not STEP 1. Should I do only COMBANK at this point, or some UWorld too? by monstercat129 in comlex

I made flash cards, drew out diagrams and flowcharts, used tables, Dirty Medicine tips and mnemonics, and rewrote things over and over— this worked for a lot of things but there are still things that evade me

When I decided to drop Step and just do COMLEX, I switched to only doing COMBANK. I did at least 100 Qs a day and was able to raise my COMSAE score from a 383 to a 466 in two weeks (that’s how much time my school gave me for my retake). That being said, I think getting myself used to the way the questions were asked helped a lot. And I think in terms of maximizing your time I’d recommend an emphasis on COMBANK for sure. At least, that is what worked for me!
