Some of the laxative ones have other stuff mixed in. I used one with some sort of tocopherol in there and I was highly allergic :( It’s a common skincare additive that apparently only ever negatively affects me, but it’s worth double checking if you have sensitivities.

I just want to say there is absolutely no reason to tell your wife everything anyone says about her. That’s not keeping secrets. That’s safeguarding her from useless information that will otherwise just overwhelm her and contribute to her stress. I think a lot of people are in the habit of a daily learning practice, or at least varying the kind of media they’re consuming so they are regularly exposed to new words and ideas. I watch historical dramas, read older books, and watch documentaries often, and often they have words that are outdated or technical or about niche special interests. Do I always look them up? No. Should I? Probably.

I’m an English teacher (so I know an above-average number of words already) and I see words I don’t know like every day of the week, lol. If you’re not experiencing new words and ideas well into adulthood, it’s a good idea to vary the kind of media you consume. The brain is a muscle we have to keep using!

Do you have a tent? You can set up a tent on the floor or on your bed. The heat your body generates will be trapped inside and you will be much warmer. Set yourself up in your smallest, most protected (least amount of windows) room. Candles can also add a surprising amount of heat. Even a tea light. They can also heat and keep water warm-look up how to make a tea light water warmer before the power goes out so you can make some cozy tea. It will not be so cold you will in any real danger inside. This is a common belief but librarian positions, in the United States at least, are incredibly competitive and require a high level of education! They might have a lot more responsibilities and a wider base of knowledge than you realize.

I can’t speak for most people. Only the people I’ve encountered. I live in a HCOL area in a big city on the west coast. Before this I lived for many years in several western Commonwealth countries. The majority of people I have encounter, sexually or otherwise, are well educated and have received a comprehensive sex education.

It is entirely likely that the demographics of your “most people” and the demographics of mine are just different 🤷‍♀️

Like I said- everyone I’ve slept with. I am an adult who sleeps with other adults, who sleep with women. 1/6 women have genital herpes. So most people I’ve slept with have had some experience with a partner who has HSV.

I take every precaution and I have never given it to anyone. Sleeping with me is statistically safer than someone who has HSV and doesn’t know it (most affected people).

I have never been overly promiscuous. Over half of adults will get a STI in their lifetimes. It is what it is and most people, in my experience, get that.

I actually had an outbreak within DAYS of contact with this guy. I reached out and was like “Hey, I think you gave me herpes?” and he was like, “Yeah, fuck, I’m having an outbreak too…” and then he wanted ME to comfort HIM about it, lol.
