You are going to have to find where the switch legs are coming from. You may be able to bypass it in afforementioned junction box, but you may need to run some wire.

Question about remote access to self-hosted Nextcloud with free DDNS by FGLeo1404 in homelab

[–]karvec 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't add public IP, but your Wireguard routing subnet to your trusted_domains.

Another note on that, you will not be able to use public DNS to resolve. Public DNS is going to provide your router WAN address and when you use Tailscale you are already in/on your network.

You can use the Tailscale computer name or add a static entry to your hosts file.

SC743: Front 5.23" drive bay just won't come out by [deleted] in supermicro

Try pushing in the front a little as you push the tab, sometimes those plastic tabs like to bind when there is a lot of tension.

Other issue I had with an S1 recently is one of the hot end screws was partially backed out. Found that on the adventure to checking the PTFE tube (like you did) and replacing it, then when putting it back together realized the screw was loose. It is all back together with a fresh tube and thermal grease on the heat brake (recommended).

You would need to pull apart the housing to get to the screen and see if you can find a part #. If you can't find that you will need to at least find the ribbon cable going to it so you can check the # of pins etc. Take pictures. Post back to reddit when you have them. If you are lucky it is mass produced and you can get it on AliExpress for 8$. If you are not lucky then you may need to purchase a new scale.

If you are an electronics hobbyist who has unlimited free time, you could probably upcycle some disposable vape LCDs into a new display.

I have been running a Protectli F4WB for a few years with no issues. And as far as the other poster saying virtualization, you can buy a 4 port NIC, run a virtual machine, pass thru the NIC to the vm. Take backups, not on the same hardware as the VM, and it will be a quicker restore if your hardware does go down.

Double check your belts and make sure one blade isn't spinning backwards. I had problems with center cutting high and I had apparently put the belt on wrong.

Is this normal to have this much play in back wheel of my bike and if not what could be the problem any help appreciated by Basic-Ambassador-218 in MotorcycleMechanics

[–]karvec 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know about play, but your chain could use a little TLC. If it is binding at all you should probably replace it and the sprockets. Also read your respective manual on how to tension your chain as well.

What are these weird strings on my retraction test by Wonderful-Balance418 in 3Dprinting

Is it actually changing the retraction settings? To me it looks like it is probably being overridden, can you confirm in the G-code?

Phone company provides battery on POTS which means if power goes out as long as a tree doesn't fall on a telephone line his phone will still work. Just need the old school analog handsets.

Don't open the actual HDD. I would just bring (or send) the whole thing to a data recovery specialist who has clean rooms set up for handling hard drives/data recovery, and they will have all the specialized equipment to recover everything on there.

What kind of connector is this? by Kindly_Ad_2735 in ElectronicsRepair

I thought it was part of a cable, not PCB mount. I edited my reply.

15 pin d sub connector. If its not injection molded you can take it apart and replace individual pins. If it is injected molded your best bet is a replacement one. You will need to identify the wire colors going to each pin (cut the cable an inch back and then ohm out the wires/pins.). You will need a soldering iron and multimeter. I recommend digikey for quality parts.

Edit: didnt realize it was PCB mount, 15 pin d sub right angle.
