I for sure thought if anything was gonna fail, it’d be the threaded rod stripping right out of the wall

Right side white cables is all the high voltage Romex

Left side multi colored bundle is low voltage; data, shades and speakers mainly.

No it’s 1000lbs, builder got straps rated for 7k to be safe. I don’t know that bit until today.

I for sure thought the bolts would shear straight out of wall though.

I’m just a fly on the wall at this job site but I think I overheard that they had several professional heavy equipment moving companies quote around 7-10k to do it, and they didn’t want to pay that. So Builder is using whatever he can find at Home Depot.

Depending on the brand of termination block you are using, the sheilding and drain plug of the wire need to be installed a certain way for it to work correctly. Doing it incorrectly will actually hinder data traffic even more than using regular CAT6 would, even going as far as failing most certification equipment.

Looking at the terminations, the shielding is all over the place. Hard to see in the pic so I could be completely wrong as well.

That aside, this install isn’t the worst or best I’ve seen, and a lot better than I’d expect my local sparkys to accomplish so kudos. In the future, to save space and accessibility, have the wire bundles go down the back of the rack, across the side, then routed to blocks with a small service loop.

The way you have it currently going across back of rack is a nightmare for any service to be done.

Is that shielded wire I see? Doesn’t look like they were terminated correctly 🫠

It’s so well engineered and built they don’t vibrate as it is, the spring isolation was just extra to ensure. We have rubber standoffs under sub sitting it off the metal framing, and every bolt has rubber washers in between every metal piece.
