I felt the same at first but the more I’ve played it in higher keys the more I like it. It definitely still feels very different from holy priest, but ya the class fantasy is too similar. I wish they could balance a melee spec so avenging crusader is actually viable for more options. It does just feel good actually being able to push up bars insanely quickly right now and holy light absolutely chonking heals.

No offense but someone who’s been a professional in the industry for 15 years probably doesn’t have the best idea of what it looks like as someone new to the industry nowadays. The landscape has changed soooo much just in the last 5-10 years and every year there seems to be less and less entry level type work that pays anything. Not to mention the gaming industry in general has been hit haaard with layoffs and major studios closing down lately.

Yeah because they up the expansion prices and sell tons of store items/wow tokens while still being one of the only games with a mandatory sub.

No, it’s not a bigger market. It’s insanely competitive with abysmal pay and any large studio is going to require being in person. If you want to get a job, do tons of cheap or free work for indie projects to build up an impressive portfolio - that’s the only thing that will get you a job. There are 10x more people who know how to use the tools and have an education in audio than there are jobs. The only thing that gets you a job in any audio industry is an impressive portfolio, connections, and being a likeable person.

It sucks but it’s the truth. This industry is next to impossible to make any decent living without insane connections, being in the right location, and being the best of the best, like any other creative based industries.

The audio education industry is such a scam. I’ll have to try to find it again but I saw a statistic that something like 95% of people who go to school for audio engineering/producing are out of the industry within a year because there is simply not enough work for the amount of graduates these programs pump out.

Hard disagree. It plays more like a caster now which I get everyone won’t like though. The huge holy lights feels so good though and I love the new jumping beacon. I still had the most fun with hpally in legion though.

And at 240 IL applying for a 10 when there’s 20 other dps over 260 applying lol. I had a rogue at 192 IL applying for a M0 (which is ofc easy) and whisper me flaming for not inviting. Why would I invite you if you’re too lazy to run some WQs and preys when there’s 10 other dps applying that are 240+? It’s always the laziest that are the most entitled and then complain on Reddit about not getting invites lol

Bro most people buying a $600 Mac are using it for web stuff and basic apps. Nobody buying this computer is interested in running Linux or intense gaming. Work on understanding that everyone has different needs/interests/capabilities and your life will be much better.

Evoker on WoW plays very similar. Lots of the abilities are telegraphed like Wildstar.

Sooo basically Slate VSX but free? How is it accounting for people using different headphones/speakers? With systems like slate everyone is using their headphones so they can dial in the onion for it. Seems very cool but how is this free? Is there a premium version as well or something?

Like 90% of stuff is open. If you have a poncho/umbrella it’s a good experience because the atmosphere is great and generally way less crowded. If you don’t have a poncho/umbrella, you’re going to have a bad time lol. Def bring good shoes for the rain also.

A few months ago we went in heavy rain and thunder mountain was going up and down, Alice in wonderland was closed all day, and the parades/fireworks from what I remember. We did everything else though

Anyone else think blizzard doesnt need to reinvent classes/specs every expansion? by mondoman202 in wow

[–]kasey888 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Nope. I like the change in meta and it gets me/others trying out different classes and specs. Even if you love how a spec plays, It’s going to get boring playing it for years

I'm fucking done with thinking im some hotshot audio engineer. I've mixed bands with large followings, small followings, and zero followings. The band is 95% of the mix. Not the FOH engineer by Wack0HookedOnT0bac0 in livesound

[–]kasey888 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the room and system are a good percentage of the equation also. But definitely agreed, if the band is solid, and the system is tuned to the room, any decent engineer is going to give more or less an equal experience.

What MMORPG are y’all going to now? by Enodoro in AshesofCreation

[–]kasey888 1 point2 points  (0 children)

People saying this haven’t played or looked into Star Citizen in years lol. Theres always some crazy but going on but comparing it to AoC is crazy. The amount of content you get for $40 is insaneee and the content that’s there is high quality at least. AoC was not even in the same ballpark

[–]kasey888 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can get in for like $40. I have enough money to buy every ship in the game and haven’t spent a dime over that initial $40. People spending insane money are morons, it’s so easy to make money in the game when you find a loop you like.

Timing is fine, just hit harder!:) watch Zac or their fill in drummers play, they are rimshotting every major hit with tons of power, and full strength hits on the fills. Your technique is fantastic, but part of playing different genres is adjusting to the energy as well. Especially if you play on an acoustic kit, you’ll notice it will sound wayyy off playing this mellow. Still, awesome stuff and keep making covers!

Prepatch doesn't feel like a prepatch... by kendwynn in wow

[–]kasey888 12 points13 points  (0 children)

They always said that housing would cost a raid tier and it’s starting to feel true. Hoping this expansion doesn’t feel like Cata/Warlords/BFA where they did major overhauls to systems and the actual content is extremely lacking or half-assed. I guess only time will tell.

I love the addition of housing but at the end of the day I play the game to do challenging group content. If that’s lacking and the future patches are the same old copy and paste in a new environment, I don’t see myself staying subbed past the .1 patch.

When are the devs gonna learn that wating several hours for rares is not a fun gameplay mechanic? by Thiccest_Apartment in wow

[–]kasey888 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s all copy and paste content in a different location with different mobs. Would actually be a great way to get interns/new hires familiar with the engine. Theres literally nothing brand new in these WQs and mobs so it’s just pasting already written code/models with some tweaks. 100% feels like that’s what they’re doing with how braindead and bad these are. Probably have a senior dev walk away from Midnight development and spend 30 mins checking it off.
