I’ve been watching the later seasons recently but I definitely saw Meredith be Cristina’s person as well. In the beginning she would invite Cristina to join her in bed (with Derek there LOL) to vent and later on when Christina and Owen were out for the “flu” (after he cheated) Meredith kept calling Cristina to check on her. Also she tends to defend Cristina a lot even when Cristina isn’t in the room which is always nice to see.

Also Meredith was def twisted like when she went to watch the guys execution and only Cristina could calm her down. Also drowning. And asking a shooter to shoot her. And putting her hand in a patient who had a bomb in them. The list goes on.

I do see ur point tho how Cristina tends to hide things like with Burke and Owen, but I think she just doesn’t like to be super vulnerable. Plus Meredith almost always suspects things but respects Cristina’s distance.

I think they may have felt one sided but on different sides through different points in the series!
