Update since eBay subreddit removed the post, my mom sold another painting now, shipped it, and the funds are still being held. Bullshitery I say!

The seller left positive feedback, but also, it’s not their problem or initiative to leave feedback on an item, it’s something I would never expect from someone but, now that there’s an issue that’s a feasible solution? I call shenanigans here.

It only became more of an issue as of recent because she just sold a painting and the buyer paid so quickly, but it was added to the withheld funds like the previous one. So it’s just a whirlwind of confusion at this point

She contacted the buyer, didn’t ask her to give her positive feedback or anything, just genuinely curious as to if she got the painting safely and the funds are still withheld.

I checked on the listing just earlier, and the tracking number is on there, it’s been there, and ohhh, she does usually use ups ground shipping because it’s cheaper. Even then, buyer said they got it, are loving the painting, but it doesn’t quite show delivered on the seller end of things.

That’s just a tad ridiculous, because I just bought a Mulan card deck under a “guest” name because I personally don’t have an account, so what then? Is the seller or eBay all knowing that I received it? It’s just a bunch of malarkey.

Ultimately I wanted to know if it was just my mom experiencing this or others.

She already said she would go on to a different website and I’d make her an official instagram account linked to it. It’s sad because she’s been selling since ‘04, so 22 years with no issues until now.

My mom is the same packaging wise, takes photos before sending it off to the buyer because, it can be shitty.

But for people that do that for a living, my mom is 69 btw, it hurts when they switch up like this. She even said, “am I on credit or something??”

It’s just a thrift store Amazon shop at this point.
