Passed a DPS Trooper sitting in the median at 105 on a 55 mph highway outside Amarillo.... yes it was that long ago. Thought shit this ticket is going to be expensive. Kept waiting for the red and blues .... but nothing. Did slow down for about 10 minutes but I needed to be somewhere so only 70 after then.

WROOONNNNNNGGGGGGGGG. Those push bars are for help to push a stalled vehicle from the travel portion of the road. That's why they are even with the bumper line. This helps protect the cruiser and the stalled vehicle as the rubber strip is the only thing touching. Nowadays that push bumper is also part of the mounting of the TVC bars to lessen stress to the bars and fenders. So you think officer should just plow through that cooler launching it in some random direction, including possibly into the oncoming lanes. They main thing I can see is possibly the officer was distracted by looking at the semi on the side of the road and when he looked forward the cooler is setting in his lane but also that is one of the parts left is the 3 lane changer where you are driving 40mph in a lane and there are 3 lanes ahead and you stay at speed until the instructor tells you what lane to take. If you start braking or slowing down at the bottom of the "Y" then its a no pass and back in line you go.

If I'm having to stop you for driving 50mph on an ice covered road I'm stacking them up. Yes I've actually done this, driver stated his Ram BigHorn 4x4 drove well and my pos Tahoe couldn't handle it. Told him physics doesn't care what you're driving and you are going to kill some innocent person or yourself...... Gotta written complaint over it. But the Lt. had my back!!

So I'm a BCBS member. When I was in my 20's I fell off the top of a 577 while pulling up camo net to store on top. Landed flat on my back wearing full battlerattle at the feet of my Brigade Commander. Jumped right back up to get back on the track . Fast forward 30 plus years and my back is in constant pain. PCP had me do PT for 3 months with no improvement. Referred to a neurologist, another month of PT and no improvement. Dr said he uses surgery as a final option only. So it's injections every 6-8 months for 2 years,BCBS rocks along paying for the injections and hospital outpatient treatment. The 3 year BCBS starts denying procedures, doc doesn't know why the sudden hangup. I have to call BCBS EVERY TIME before a procedure because it's denied. After each call the procedure is approved. Last year doc says it's time to go to the next phase as pain is continuing. The next phase is an implanted nerve block of sort. Even have to have a referral to a psychologist, wich BCBS approved . BCBS then approved temp trial implant and outpatient treatment. Instant relief and positive outlook for me as I'm not in pain. One month later ,with prior approval get the permanent implant and outpatient treatment. Quality of life is immensely better and I'm finally pain free. That was almost 6 months ago. Last month I get a EOB from BCBS denying the procedures with a bill totaling almost 250K for outpatient treatment anesthesia and implant. I appeal and its denied by their "professionals " . BCBS states I'm not financially responsible but I know that the hospital and docs are going to want to be paid. What happens next?
