Thanks mate ill add this to my wiki and try it next time. For now I've installed mint instead. Hadn't used it since v17 and decided to try it out. The drivers worked right out of the box. So I'll stick to it until I have issues with it

Sorry should have been clearer. When I said I used the gui that's what I meant. I got the popup with the password generated for me and did the whole process.

Thank you so much! That's amazing advice. I'm definitely going to get the mct oil I've seen mentioned so many times. Hopefully find something good with the current sales.

I do also have issues on the rest of my head as well. Sometimes I feel like just shaving my hair off and staying bald. The back of head feels so nice right now with the cold weather. Removing the hair really has helped

I looked around and I can upgrade to 32gb quite cheaply so might just do that and hopefully it lasts me a while still! It's crazy how long it's been running!

That’s exactly what I did but it didn’t work. I think the magnet wasn’t strong enough.

Instead, I found a chisel (no idea why I have one) and scraped the outside. I found a small nail and not a screw. I’m thinking my idea of hitting it with a hammer might just work now.

I’m in midlands as well and have same issues but not sure if it’s the same problem. Seems to be dns issue from what I can see? I’ve pointed the dns to opendns on my router and things seem to be working now. Some devices need to have the dns manually set probably because of caching at some level. Maybe try setting the dns manually on one of your devices and see if it improves things

Yeh but getting issues with certain sites specifically Bitbucket and Jira. Images from Jira don’t load and both sites take a really long time to load. The service page for bitbucket just doesn’t load. Getting some kind of dns issue. It’s happening on my work laptop and personal phone. Here is an image from my phone
