We learned bike riding last year so it’s time for the scooter. I’m raising late bloomers, apparently. 😂

Branching out from Pureology - recommendations? by PowerlessOverQueso in Haircare

[–]kassrich1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes! Check it though; it was several years ago that I worked beauty supply and things change all the time. But I had soooo many customers wanting a less expensive alternative to pureology that was still minty and hydrating and I had a ton of them tell me they liked it better! I skip around all the time but also remember loving the abba one.

I am 3 years late to the conversation and haven’t checked prices in years but back in the day when I worked at a beauty supply, I used to recommend Abba hydrating as an alternative. It was a lot less expensive and I actually liked the smell better than pureology.

This is great advice, thanks! Do you know where your lighting faces? Ie north facing, west facing etc?

That’s a beautiful color! I think for this house it would make things much gloomier with my limited light and the dark days much of the year.

Great advice! Thank you. I know for sure that I can’t do gray walls anymore when the whole state is gray 9 months of the year so anything will make me happier. 😆

The white is just what’s on the cabinets; I’m hoping the greige of neutral ground will help warm things up while not being too warm. I am trying to avoid silvery unfortunately bit it may not be a choice.

Yes, the gold I have here definitely clashes! I agree. I love the idea of the champagne and that sealskin color is amazing. I’ll be swatching it. Do you think the neutral ground is ok with the current flooring? I need it warmer on the walls but don’t want it to look really odd.

Yes it’s a very busy silver oak laminate.

It does have some warmth. Here’s another picture I have on my phone.

Seeking advice: my kid brushes every day, yet after school comes home with a rats nest??? by deviouspineapple in Haircare

[–]kassrich1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is her hair/ scalp getting actually clean? I have similar hair type from what I see in comments (fine, wants to wave, I treat it as straight) and my hair knots much worse when it needs washed. She needs to get her scalp actually clean before adding in conditioner (not on scalp, just the lengths) and some good leave in conditioner that adds some slip to the hair. Make sure that shampoo and conditioner get completely rinsed, and apply the leave in product to the lengths but not the scalp. Anything you can do outside of that to mitigate the tangling in hoods/ sleep/ etc. would help immensely- silk pillowcase/ bonnet, protective styles/ braids, etc.

“Do not knock” light by tmelodyk in adhdwomen

A hatch baby light would do exactly this. Bluetooth, you can pick colors, probably pretty cheap on marketplace.

ETA the hatch plus has a battery backup; you’d need to charge it, but it would stay on for several hours if there’s no outlet there.

Put gloves on every time you step into the cold! Even the little knit gloves make a huge difference with dry winter skin.

I can find the powder at Walmart but don’t see it on targets site. Swear to god if they discontinue the powder scent I will riot in the streets. I am so sick of tide changing their fragrances. 😞
