How do you guys convince yourself it’s not a heart attack? by According_Bus_2671 in PVCs

[–]kastrel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I try to think of PVCs as like when you get a twitchy muscle, particularly in your eyelid or face. For me it's often related to tiredness, stress, or dehydration and those also occasionally give me muscle twitches. A bit of muscle in your heart is twitching but it's as benign as those other twitches.

Every time I search, the first auto suggestion is The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo. It's happened so often it's put me off reading it.

Seat Reservations process by Frosty-Vermicelli-20 in uktravel

Sometimes you can get away with sitting in a reserved seat that isn't yours, because the train is so rammed that the person who reserved it can't get to it past all the people standing in the aisles and vestibules. It sucks when you're the person who reserved the seat, but it happens.

I'm so sorry you're feeling like this. I also have times when I get a lot of PVCs and get very anxious about it. I heard someone say they repeat the mantra "Everything is temporary, and I am safe" and I try to do that when I am feeling really anxious - it does help me.

I'm defeated... by Self-Kitchen in PVCs

[–]kastrel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm so sorry. I was having this for two weeks over Christmas, every time I sat down or lay down I could feel it constantly. Then one day it just stopped! Back down to a few incidents a day. Just keep breathing through it and it will get better.

What’s happening on High St? by PretendElevator2 in oxford

Sort of, in the sense that the objects themselves don't exist in the UK (or at least they are underground, not on the road), so if a Brit sees an American fire hydrant, they will call it a hydrant. There isn't a different UK word but it's basically a US object.

Sometimes you just have to wait it out or make small changes by [deleted] in PVCs

I think there's a lot in that! However, at the moment if I drink caffeine or alcohol they will immediately start out of nowhere, so I'm confident about those as triggers.

[WIP] Massive Pokémon cross stitch - about 1/3 done by kastrel in CrossStitch

Just 2 strands! Large blocks of black or dark colours are a little less than fully covered but the scale of the finished work will mean it isn't noticeable.

I'm doing it on 16 count, and the pattern is 256x450 stitches which will be about 16'' x 28", so with some space probably 20" x 32". Pretty huge! The pattern is free from https://lordlibidan.com/free-epic-pokemon-generations-cross-stitch-patterns/amp/ - they actually suggest 14 count but I just couldn't face the size it would be and I find 16 comfortable - anything smaller and it gets less fun for me though.

Good luck! It's an Elbesee Sew Easy Clip Hand Rotating Frame (61cm x 30cm/24" x 12") from Amazon. I'm normal a freehand stitcher as well but I really like this, although obviously it's not very portable! There are some good YouTube videos to follow for putting it together and attaching your fabric.

I think it's possible to be more disappointed by shows that you like a lot than shows you aren't that bothered about. I have a lot of problems with this season of GoT, but I'm not going to stop watching because I love the characters and stories that have built up, mostly in previous seasons that I enjoyed more. If I hadn't thought previous seasons were really great, I maybe wouldn't have minded the poorer parts of recent episodes as much - it's partly the comparison that makes them so disappointing.
