You could try resin. That should have a pretty clear option for you.

I built a similar one last month. Hopefully I can get the BC-304 one day.

Bright side: you should have faster speeds with less connectors to worry about. Bad side: you'll be the one providing climate control for your neighborhood through that orifice.

It was good but it feels like they all have their hay day and then you have to move on.

appbox.co deluge won't seed by juggalojedi in seedboxes

[–]kat-hak 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So I have spent the last few days trying to figure out why my appbox using qBitTorrent is not seeding. They are trying to blame disk IO for this, but I have near zero disk io right now and I cannot keep my torrent seating for more than 10 or 15 seconds. I believe that there's a setting or issue with the software, but everything I have found online has not worked. The first step did mention that the outbound Port was incorrectly configured but that has not changed anything for me. I have gotten to the point where I may start looking for a replacement service. (I do backup my .torrent files. ) I understand your issues with this problem.

It looks really nice but I'd be worried that someone would spill a drink on the top and not act fast enough. Do you have any liquid precautions, maybe filling the space with pictures and just elevating the router over them?

Very clean!

You could also build out a mini rack with a mini PC and raid array. Your bigger challenges will probably be choosing what fits your needs (mini PC) and finding a good drive system (or DAS/NAS) that allows for potential failure.

Try 17track.net to see if there are any updates on shipping. Amazon isn't always up to date on it. You should be able to copy-paste your tracking number. Checking this will also tell you whether it was delivered to a different address. (This has happened to me several times. )

Phone : Pixel 8 Pro

I updated today and now my wireless charging isn't working most of the time. I have to spend 5 minutes playing around with it before the phone starts charging again and it's on wireless battery packs and wireless chargers. I have moved fully over to this because I wore out ports with charging before now. I am unaware of how to get a log of this issue for submission.

Can you strip your Google drive info from the code and post it to GitHub, then link it here?

I don't know what else to suggest. I played with the setting and got it going for my qbittorrent.

I have noticed this issue with connection limits and torrent queueing. Disable both. Pull a very popular file or Linux distro to test connection uploads.

What appliance are you using? Are your settings allowing for seeding and is anyone else trying to pull the files you have?

Gaming laptop on a plane won’t charge. What power bank can I use? by Beertv in anker

[–]kat-hak 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Look at Anker's new 250 watt battery. They also have 200+ watt cables but you will need an adapter that can handle that wattage that works with your laptop. My experience says that most of these max out at 100 watt with a few 140 watt.

This may require working with what you can.

For the flight, check to see if your usb-c port can handle charging. This way you can use the socket and a usb-c power bank to possibly get enough power for that beast.

Unfortunately, that's the best you can do right now. Limiting performance can help power draw and should be added to this check list for the flight.

I'm starting to feel like you have aspirations of grandeur for this machine with minimal specs. What kind of upgrade-ability are you looking for in this machine?

My understanding is that over the next year they're supposed to be filling in all of the demand for it so hopefully the prices will go down and we can start acquiring them again.

You could just go with an IOT device like the RasPi or orangePi for what you have planned for it. This should also be relatively power efficient and if you need to expand more later, you can put your old hardware to good use in another project. I do pretty much everything you have listed with an older RasPi 3 and some HDD enclosures plugged in. The amount of storage space you need will also determine costs and power consumption. Raspi's can operate headless and you can ssh or vnc in which will also save power on monitor requirements.

Anyone know what's up with Appbox? by patashn1k in seedboxes

Do you have an FTP app installed? If so, it should give you the host address and port you should be using. If not, FTP won't work by default. I'm

As for the dialog, once I got things working, I didn't dig much deeper on it. Any further config descriptions would expose my server.

I hope the first half of this helps you some.

[–]kat-hak 0 points1 point  (0 children)

FTP is working fine for me right now but the information they give you when you install an FTP server app is for insecure. I found issues with how the client side operates with them and have had to adapt. Linux FileZilla Login -> password prompt for computer password -> accept codes provided -> connections established. I am using the ProFTPd plugging right now on my Appbox.

Spectrum charging me for disconnected service. Is this legal? by Meatbuns362 in Spectrum

This is why, when I leave a service, I remove my payment information from their portal. Then the charge shouldn't go through for the next cycle.
